  1. Mission failed i tried so many things i tried for so long but in the end, I’ve given in and switched to openSuse cause it has never yet failed me. May my struggles serve as a cautionary tale for any wannabe Lenovo Linux mint users.
  2. After doing some more research a few things that I’ll probably try in the morning are running it live from the USB boot drive to check and modify EFI boot order, and retrying the install in compatibility mode (which I probably should’ve been doing to begin with cause I always have problems with Lenovo systems). Will update to let y’all know how everything goes
  3. Using 17.1 cause that’s what unetbootin had, did exactly what you’re saying with my initial drive a few times to no avail, did plenty of bios tweaking but it didn’t really work. I’ll try 19.1 and Rufus in the morning, I just usually have more luck with unetbootin.
  4. Heya peoples, I’ve recently converted my old Lenovo thinkcenter A720 aio into a small form factor pc. I chose to replace the trashy windows 8 os that it was running with Linux mint. I used UnetBootIn to create a USB boot drive and am able to successfully boot and install Linux mint from the boot drive, but when I restart the pc and remove the USB boot drive to boot from hdd I receive the old “Error 1962: no operating system found” Within the bios I can see the hdd is recognized and all of the bios setup settings seem to be properly set up, yet it refuses to boot. Additionally I know that the OS is definitely on the hdd as when I go to reinstall mint, the old mint partition is visible. Any suggestions?
  5. I replaced the starter capacitor and it’s working fine now, thank you for your detailed explanation!
  6. I just purchased a used LG Flatron L222WT-BF on kijiji. When I plug it in, the power indicator flashes white and the power button does nothing. The power cable works, as does the outlet. Any suggestions?
