  1. Maybe it will be a high end tablet? Something like One just bigger.
  2. Yes I know, you know that, but they want all in one and cheap as possible. I know one definitely got an SSD for his laptop. But most of them use Garmin or Chinese navigators.
  3. Yeah, but they like playing games and watching movies every 8 hours, so for a long time there was no alternative, except for last few years when tablet PCs got cheap and they have built in GPS.
  4. I know few truck drivers who used to use laptops as navigation and all of them had problems with HDDs it is possible from a vibration in the truck or just a hole on the road. But I didn't mean gentle movement
  5. Yeah, I mean more like shock or any unnecessary vibration can potentially damage the platters or read heads. I am walking around my house with working laptop in my hands and didn't do any damage. But be nice to HDD, they are fragile.
  6. HDD can work in any position as long as you secure it. Read heads stay in a very specific position so they wouldn't touch the platter unless you move working HDD.
  7. There are cards that are not PCI-E certified as they pull more then 75 W from PCI-E slot. There are PSUs that can supply 30+ Apms on 12V rail so it more then enough.
  8. Freelancer is an awesome game. Good memories from my childhood.
  9. Then try to return it and get some other cooler in that price point.
  10. AMD is using same mounting mechanism for many years. So there shouldn't be any problems mounting H50.
  11. They are both great, I would get one that is cheaper
  12. Screen looks amazing and Gorilla Glass 3 should last for few years. Overall a very solid phone.
  13. Pci-e connector on PSU only have a 12v rail (yellow wires), so it would be very bad. You need to get molex to sata adapters.
  14. Yeah, in Latvia its 4 € for unlimited talk and sms without data. Mobile Internet isn't cheap 2GB will be around 9€ and 8GB will cost you 14.98€. Its 4G and after the limit you get 2G speeds so that isn't too bad.
  15. Well, I have seen on my AMD 6850 to fill that 1GB of ram pretty fast in some games. It all depends what games are you playing. Some demand more GPU horsepower, some will need few gigs of ram and others will do nothing on your GPU and will sit on your CPUs face all day long.
  16. Well, you could try to connect fans to PSU.
  17. Yeah, I decreased voltage on my laptops CPU so it could run cooler. In some cases it is possible to hack bios and be you will be able to change base clock.
  18. You should look for something that is non conductive and without metal ions. Arctic Cooling MX-4 should work fine.
  19. Could we get more info? There are many mobile APUs and at least 2 generations of Intel CPUs that you can buy. You could get low power Haswell CPU with Nvidia 720/730 GPU. Or something from AMD with better price to performance.
  20. Unfortunately that will not happen, as Nvidia has to give all info about architecture of their GPUs, so by doing that Nvidia will lose any advantage in research that they have. Not without a reason it is a low level API and only working with GCN. We can hope that Mantle will push DX optimization, it wont be as good as Mantle but a lot better then it is right now.
  21. Well, on average it`s about 5-15%, depends on level and graphical settings. I think from Mantle the most increase will be if you use two or three cards in CF with a very strong CPU. That would be next thing for Linus to test, 3960X with 2x 290X and 3x 290X and same with lower end cards like 280X and 270X in CF
  22. Well, they have to change architecture of GPU to GCN and that will be a huge problem, as they have GPU tech in research for next 5 to 7 years and all of it is with Nvidia architecture. I hope Mantle will give a huge boost for Pro applications and workstation GPUs and in a year or two we could feel benefit from it.
  23. Graphics wont be a problem with few patches but nvidia wont use Mantle.
