  1. I mostly use my phone for video consumption and music at work. Thats about it. So pretty light user.
  2. Hey all! So Im looking for a new phone and was wondering if the pixel 3 nonxl was still a good buy? I was looking at the op7t but the 3 is a bit cheaper. So I'm torn between them. Thanks!
  3. Hey I am switching from a desktop to a gaming laptop for personal reasons. I saw on newegg a gs65 openbox for $1,500 which is in my budget but the new one isn't. Should I risk the open box? I want something thin with 120hz or so. Cheers! Edit: I was looking at the helios 300 because of the screen and the msi p65. But only has 60hz and I'm going from 144hz to 60hz. Which I'd rather not do.
  4. I want higher speeds for ryzen unless I can OC it to 2933 or something. Why do you think that in regards to the n200? fractal comes with 2 120mm in the front which is nice. I'll check out the ssd.
  5. Hey all! So I posted here a day or two ago about being conflicted between rx580 and vega 56 for 1440p 144hz freesync. After looking at the parts I think I came up with a good value PC. Looks aren't super important right now. Just pure value. 6. I was looking at that exact card. It might be worth to go a little over. $100 can be recovered by changing the ssd to a none pcie one
  7. I mostly want 100fps+ in esports games. In triple A I do not expect to hit even 75+ so I am leaning towards saving a few bucks and get a rx580 and maybe get an intel cpu instead or get a better cpu cooler like a dark rock pro 4.
  8. Hey all! Doing a new build soon and trying to decide between the cards. My budget is a bit tight about it is about 1k USD. I have a 1440p 144hz freesync monitor I got for $150 from a friend so I want to use AMD. I am torn between rx580 and vega 56. I know the vega card is better at 1440p but with freesync would the rx580 be ok to game? I am mostly an esports/f2p gamer with some triple A games. Monster hunter and ghost recon most recently. Just trying to decide if the price difference is worth it for my needs. Edit: This is the build minus the GPU PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($170.98 @ Newegg) Motherboard: MSI - B450-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard ($90.39 @ Newegg) Memory: ADATA - XPG GAMMIX D10 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($90.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($109.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.99 @ Newegg) Case: Phanteks - Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($67.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA - BQ 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($55.98 @ Newegg) Total: $651.29 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-08-13 11:22 EDT-0400
  9. This might be an odd one here but I just got into Magic the gathering online and want to play some commander on it. Anyone have a pod that doesn't mind adding another person?
  10. I think the fans and take near the speakers on underneath the bottom of the laptop and exhaust right out the back
  11. This is what the bottom of the laptop looks like. Not by my laptop right now so just took an image of Google but I know that's it cuz I open it up before
  12. Exhaust the air through the back Grill not the bottom of the laptop itself the bottom panels completely closed off
  13. Hey all! I just got a Dell 7577 and I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to keep the bottom panel off and is putting a laptop cooler right against the insides and against the fans. I don't know if they're get static issue or dust problem but I was just hoping you would keep the laptop a little bit quieter during load
  14. Hey all! I recently got a gaming laptop for my bday (yay me) and wanna get a wireless mouse for it. Trying to keep my desk clean and crisp. Any suggestions? Going to be used 99% of the time for gaming as I have a chrom book for most of my homework. I was looking at the g603 or g703 mouse. I've heard good things about both was also thinking MX Master s2 since it has Bluetooth so I don't need usb receiver. And maybe a wireless gaming headset. Just less wires the best for me.
  15. Yes if you have Igpu. Better to make sure everything is working now and if you need to start an RMA process.
  16. Hey all! I am thinking of getting a gaming laptop soon and giving my GF my desktop. Sadly she lives a few states away for the time being. I wanted to mail it to her. Any tips on how to mail it? It is the core 500 case. I'd take out the GPU for sure but I'm using the Cryorg C7 cooler so prob don't need to remove it. Toddles!
  17. Hey all! Idk where to put this so I figured GPU's because it is a GPU question. Anyways, I'm getting a dell 7577 for school because I want the portability. (Yes I know building a desktop is cheaper usually etc etc) But does a gtx 1060 max-q support gsync? I'm thinking of getting a gsync external monitor and can't see if it does anywhere. I'm assuming so but figured I'd double check anyways. Toddles!
  18. I am just going to reinstall windows. I can boot into safe mode with networking fine. I changed the Mac address back. Just backing up my steam library onto my external drive. No idea what I did. Such a weird issue. Thanks for your help
  19. I used the locally administered network setting.
  20. Went to device manager and put it in via advance options for Intel ethernet driver. And other wise nothing to cause a brick. I changed it because it was going to allow my roommate to make his Google home to the school's WiFi. Because we have to register devices for the MAC address but you can't pull a web browser up on the Google home so I change my computer's to spoof it in order to register the new Mac address and it is Google homes able to work on the Wi-Fi
  21. Gotta. So gotta try changing it back then.
  22. Hey all! As the title says, I changed my Mac address so my friend could get his Google home to work in the dorms and now my PC won't boot into windows. I get the logo and it posts fine. I can boot into safe mode. Any ideas?
  23. Hey all! I'm looking to get a new phone this black friday. My old galaxy s5 broke so I've been using an LG Aristo which isn't very good but was free so meh. Any who I am debating between these three phones.Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards the honor 6x/8 lite but open to suggestions, Trying to keep it under $199.99
  24. The pc would be in the same room.
