  1. Okay, so small update. I tried a R7 2700 just now and still nothing. Fan spins up and stops.
  2. The mobo is fine, only thing I haven't done is update the bios. But that by itself I have no clue of doing. Ram is sitting perfectly as well.
  3. So, I got a new build this week: R5 3600X ASRock b450m steel legend Corsair 16GB RGB 3200mhz Sapphire RX 580 8gb Cooler Master SILENCIO S400 Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze I've installed everything correctly and it won't post. The motherboard RGB lights up when powered, but Everytime I turn the system on, the cpu fan spins briefly and stops. I tried every trick that I know of, even techniques used in the 2000s, but it's not posting at all. Is it something in the bios? And I stupid? Is there an issue with the wattage? In any case, I'm stumped.
  4. Lol I'll try. Engineering money is fun to play with lol
  5. Alright, seems to work... I think. Thanks guys. I can finally be the gamer girl that I need to b XD
  6. Why would I benefit from 2 cards? SLI doesn't scale up as much as it used to anymore.

  8. I know RT was fixed and all, it just seems to me that Titan is the best mix of gaming/work imo.
  9. Hi all, I was just wondering what GPU I should get for my gaming/workstation PC for work/school/etc. I have heard a LOT of bad things about RTX, so I'm kind of divided, more so when the RTX Titan leaks started showing up. What should I do?
  10. I used this cable - https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32839154180.html
  11. Caddy as in wrapping the board in tape, or...?
  12. I have. Dell, for me anyway, is like if Lenovo had a bastard child with Apple.
  13. Oh? Why is that? 2.5" is still pretty good nowadays. Yeah, unfortunately. The whole "power user" niche is essentially my realm of comfort. I NEED the Ethernet port and other features for many reasons (in which I can't name), and the hot swap battery is a MUST when I'm out for absurd amounts of time.
  14. So, after returning my A485 because of cooling issues, I decided to opt-in for the T480 and T480s(Because I have cash to burn). But, since the T480 has the same M.2 problem as the A485, I came to the problem of, "Should I wait, or should I buy this now?". At the moment, I decided to invest in the T480s, but I WANT a backup for mobile VM work(since the T480s can only carry 24GB and I cannot find a 24GB laptop ram stick). Do I wait for the T490 next year, or do I buckle down with the T480? (Oh, and btw, the M.2 issue is essentially that you can only install a 2248 M.2 drive instead of a 2280, requiring the user to use janky AF modifications)
  15. So, should I stick with mobos from ASRock and Gigabyte for the time being?
  16. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/6hF48d/asus-prime-x470-pro-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-x470-pro#viewImages Something like this.
  17. Is buying motherboards from Asus worth it? I have heard a lot of bad things from Asus being a really bad brand overall. I just wanted to see if I should life the "boycott" curtain over their motherboards, at least.
  18. What would you guys consider to be a enthusiast phone or brand? I've looked around and a lot of companies like OnePlus, Samsung, etc just don't do it for me. What do you guys suggest?
  19. Well, that's underwelming. I think I'll just stick to having 2 phones as opposed to having as many as Linus.
