  1. have to think about it... thanks for all your support
  2. Thanks a lot Metallus, I already have RAM (4x16GB DDR4 2400) - should be grand...
  3. It's my Desktop PC. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, VMs, not a lot of gaming (no high end games after all) The Apps and VMs reside on the P3600 and the data store is on another box (Compellent SCv2020) via iSCSI on the attic.
  4. alright, time to say goodbye then, I think. Any suggestions for CPU/Mobo/Case/PSU - max 500EUR/600USD - shouldn't be too big as well I'll move over the SSDs and RAM.
  5. good hint, thanks. I have an m.2 drive (OS boot) and that intel SSD (Apps + VMs). My main data store is on an iSCSI SAN. I don't use the HDD drive slot, but the optical tricky PC May have to remove part of the HDD tray.
  6. I thought about it, but I got it chap and it hosts some to me important VMs, so the P3600 has to stay (and it's much better than any SATA). btw, they're afforbale now, if anyone else wants one (https://ie.webuy.com/product-detail?id=sssdpedme020t401a&categoryName=hard-drives-solid-state&superCatName=computing&title=intel-ssd-p3600-2tb-nvme-pcie-3.0)
  7. nope, there's no space. It's a pretty small PC. I guess I'll buy that Chinese card: ASL G1504
  8. that would work, if the other slot would be free, but that 4x one hosts an intel P3600
  9. I am hesitating. I have not found any reviews. and it's an unknown vendor to me.
  10. Thanks a lot, just next time please read and understand the request. I need a low profile, short and single slot GPU. AMD's power consumption issues rule out anything a bit faster - no RX 570 is on the market, that fulfills the requests (short is not enough - typical ITX Cards are tooooo BIGly ). I have found one GTX1050 TI, but from a Chinese vendor: https://www.gearbest.com/graphics-video-cards/pp_1261865.html?wid=1433363
  11. looks like a RS_232 connector. But there's a lot proprietary stuff out there. What board (Vendor/Model/Revision) is it?
  12. Hi All, I am looking for a graphics card to increase the possibilities of my two OptiPlex 7040 SFF. Problem here is, it's PCIe x16 Slot has only space for a single slot card and only low profile. So is there somewhere a GTX1050 Ti or better, that would suit. I have searched through what feels like the whole web with out any satisfactory results. So lads, please throw in your two cents.
