  1. Update: I’m leaning towards the Define R7 Compact. I understand it has thermal limitations, but I value the build quality and the look. Any recommendations on new 240mm AIOs would be great.
  2. I have a Rog strix Z390-F, but it caught on fire last week.
  3. My bad. I failed to mention that my motherboard caught on fire last week. I have been planing to go with a small case since I travel a lot with my PC. Since the motherboard is dead, I figured it would be a good time to make the switch!
  4. Hi, I currently have a define R6 case with a 9700k & Asus Strix RTX 2080. I want to go a smaller case. Any recommendations?
  5. I have a ASUS RTX 2080 STRIX, 9700k. They are now in a Define R6. I have to travel a lot during the summer. Any suggestions on a smaller case that is compact and easy to build in ?
  6. This problem first happened to me last week, I was able to fix it by going back to an older version of the driver for my GPU. I have a 9700k and a RTX 2080, last night when I was playing Apex Legends I suddenly started to get extreme stuttering. I walk two steps forward and the game would drag me back. When this problem first happened last week I though it was network issues. So I used my phone's hotspot to try, tried different Ethernet cables. No result. I changed some settings in the NVIDIA control panel. No result. I then went back to an driver that was release in January. It worked. But last night the problem came back. I tried older and newer version of GPU drivers, did not work. This happens in all games. The PC works fine when not gaming. Any ideas ?
  7. Hi guys, I built my first gaming pc last weekend. I heard that you can change the Q code on some motherboards to show CPU temperature, But I could't find the option in the bios. Does any one know how ? My motherboard is the Maximus XI hero. Thanks
  8. I just placed my order for the r6 USB-C on newegg. With your advice in mind, I'm thinking getting the NZXT Kraken X72 and a lower powered power supply. My friends are saying that I should go with the Asus Strix Z390-E. Do you know the differences between the Strix and the Maximus ?
  9. Thanks ! What do you think of the define r6? Thanks ! But i’m Just not ready to go AMD yet.
  10. Hi guys, I currently have a gaming laptop with an i7-7820HK, and a GTX 1080. It has had way too many problems with cooling and GPU failure. So I'm going to build my first pc. Can you guys give me some advice on the parts? Especially the case. I prefer a minimalist mid-tower, but can't seem to find what I like. 11. Here is the problem: my HP Omen X laptop is connected to a dell 27inch monitor. Starting from about a month ago it would suddenly go green screen with purple or pink stripes. The laptop will then restart itself. I thought it was the monitor or the cable. I called Dell and they replaced the monitor. I also replace my Mini DP cable. The problem was not resolved. Here is an picture of what that looks like. I have contacted HP and all they did was update some drivers. The problem would not go away. Can someone help me please?
