So, before i start, most of the hardware information and specs of the Dell Dimension 4600 was posted in another forum so i provided the link but anyways, i just want to know, if there is anyway i could possibly make this old desktop a server(i was thinking a MC server) or a NAS. Someone did mention Samba for the NAS but is there any other recommendations you guy suggest i do? I was thinking about making this a folding machine but its 32-bit and folding@home only has the client and not the program to fold, i think. just and FYI, my budget is $100-$150

I have a Dell Dimensions 4600 with no OS. Is there any projects I should do with this? I don't just want to throw it away if I am able to use for something. I originally wanted to use it as a NAS but I couldn't find any 32-bit programs. Also, I need to put in a new hard drive for sure. Let me know. BTW, my budget for any projects is max 200 Mods, if this isn't the right section to put this, fell free to move it

The main difference from both of our lists is the GPU and also, the motherboard price isn't up so it will be over my 1k budget. And for the GPU, I don't need a powerful GPU

TBH, I went for a ITX because I don't want a big PC, especially since I'm more of an xBox player. I don't need a extremely good gear, just components that will run as I need.
