  1. Recently I started making a backup to an external hdd, and during data transfer process, the keyboard sometimes either freezes, enters a bootloop or completely shuts down until I unplug it and plug it back in. External HDD is connected to PC via a docking station. It all happens very randomly. Mouse works fine. HDD docking station is connected to the motherboard via the front panel, keyboard via back IO (directly connected to the motherboard). The keyboard is a steelseries Apex 5. Tried resetting firmware, updating drivers, installing and uninstalling steelseries app to no avail. When no data is being transferred, the keyboard works fine. Any ideas what's going on?
  2. Yeah, why not. I can use all the bandwidth there is, so it will not be a waste.
  3. 3 people, 2 of them are heavy streamers. And there's me who downloads/uploads a lot (NAS server). I'm aware that we might not be saturating the 4gbps fully, but since the price difference is not that big, I always take the best package available.
  4. I'm a heavy downloader and the price difference is only a mere 12 euros a month, so I don't see why not xD
  5. I have the Asus Z790-F motherboard which supports max 2.5gbps ethernet. My ISP has recently started offering 4gbps fiber optics connection, so I'm looking for a reliable 10gbps ethernet adapter for a max. of 150 euros. Googling it gave me lots of different options, so I'm here for some advice. Any suggestions?
  6. Hi, Since the last few driver updates, the RTX 3080 has been driving me crazy. I randomly get some abnormal pixels especially in edge , chrome (checkerboard pattern). Tried stress testing, VRAM and artifact scanning for a few hours, no issues. When playing demanding games, no crashes or artifacts. I had glitches in league of legends as well (only once). Currently on driver 545.84 I have no clue what's the issue. How do I know if it's software or hardware issue? PS: Artifacts are visible in screenshots as well.
  7. Nope. Nothing happened ever since. I suppose it was just driver related. I push the gpu to the limit daily, and nothing bad happened.
  8. Update: FurMark passed as well and no artifacts appeared again.
  9. A few days ago I updated GPU drivers to v.528.02 When I first turned on my PC earlier today, I ran bluestacks. That caused some weird artifacts on the desktop (a few grey rectangles that disappeared a few seconds later). However, GPU driver didn't crash until I tried opened a youtube video. After the crash it successfully recovered and I had no issues ever since (tried opening youtube/facebook in chrome, all worked fine) . Tried running MSI kombustor with artifact scanner for 30 mins with no issues. Also tried running 3dMark stress test without any issues. Event viewer shows the following (had similar errors before, but no artifacts or driver crashes): Events that occurred prior to this one: Error occurred on GPUID: 100 Resetting TDR occurred on GPUID:100 Restarting TDR occurred on GPUID:100 All with Event ID 0 and nvlddmkm being the issue. Games are not crashing but I was wondering if it is driver related since the stress tests passed without issues. Hopefully nothing's wrong with the GPU as it's only 2 years old with moderate usage. GPU is not manually overclocked (only factory OC) for those who are wondering. Anyone with similar issues?
  10. I can now run stable 5.4Ghz turbo @ 1.31v with C-states enabled. Will try all P-core OC to 5.5Ghz to see how it works. With c-states disabled I couldn't get it to run it stable with voltages below 1.36V Does enabling c-state significantly reduce vcore usage under load? I ran cinebench and the scores are exactly the same, but at much lower voltages. How is this possible?
  11. Both have positive/negative offset options. What is the actual difference between the two? Changing the Core Voltage Offset in XTU shows a negative IA Offset in voltage monitor (HWMonitor), while the VRM core voltage seems to be lowering CPU voltage usage in bios. Which one should I be tinkering with when undervolting/overclocking?
  12. @RONOTHAN## Which voltage I should pay attention to the most? VCORE or VID (Max)? as VID (Max) voltages are higher than of VCORE. Using CPUID HWMonitor What is the difference between the two? I've been reading about them but I don't seem to understand it well.
  13. Of course not, I'm just asking if it is ok and after reading the comments, I decided to revert back to stock turbo speed (5.4 Ghz @ 1.36v). I don't think the 5% performance increase is worth it if it's going to shorten the CPU's lifespan that much.
