    Nvidia can actually release a card that can be relevant for e few generations. Imagine their entire Kepler lineup. Now imagine them rebranded as GTX 900 Series. There you go. The point people are trying to make with rebrands is that they suck. Imagine your dad rewrapping last year's Christmas present and giving it to you. Except he changes the wrapping paper. Like that? NO. Nobody does. That Christmas present may have been good, but wouldn't you feel cheated? I mean it's been almost 2 years and all AMD can come up with is 3 Fiji chips and the rest of the lineup is completely rebranded (except for R9 380X, I think). Why not just DON'T release the new lineup and save that number "3" for something actually NEW. Sure you might argue that Maxwell performs about the same as Kepler. But with one difference: POWER CONSUMPTION. AMD's new cards are EXACTLY THE SAME. Sure, bump the VRAM. Not like 3rd party vendors haven't already done that. As for the R9 295X2, I'll admit it's in a class of its own. But keep in mind, your card might perform well now, but SLI and CrossFire rely HEAVILY on drivers and game optimisation. If the game has shitty SLI/CrossFire support, you might as well just call your card an R9 290X WC. I for one will not go SLI/CrossFire. Game Devs are lazy enough with general bug fixing and optimisation, let alone multi-GPU support.

    Actually Nvidia's drivers have been REAL shitty these past few months. They crippled Kepler users to sell Maxwell better. Just look at Project CARS and The Witcher 3. Even a GTX Titan Black can't outperform a GTX 970 in those games. Why? Driver issues. Once you rollback the drivers, you get butter smooth gameplay. And I'd say AMD's really banking on DX12, where most of their innovations (if any) will reveal themselves. I'd say get an old R9 290X for cheap and forget about the damned 300 Series.

    I think AMD shot themselves in the foot with the R9 Rebrand Series. I mean, if you're going for a GTX 970-ish card you'd be looking at a GTX 970 because its superior in every way except for VRAM. Think about it. Would you buy a card which has about the same performance but consumes twice the amount of power? No! Except if you already own a pretty baller power supply and don't give two shits about power consumption. AMD's only selling cards will be the Fiji cards. But the flagship doesn't outperform the similarly priced GTX 980Ti (except maybe 4K and DX12 yeah, yeah, I know). Maybe the Fury (non Pro) might be the only selling card since it's $100 less and probably beats the GTX 980, but still. They can't really expect to get any customers with their new cards. For the price/performance guys the card on the table will be the GTX 970. And for absolute performance junkies? GTX980 Ti hands down. I know it's bad for us customers but it's pretty much AMD's fault. They wasted time and resources on useless APUs which no one in their right mind would buy (they market it for gamers for gosh's sake). They've pretty much lost the CPU market, as far as I can tell. And in the past 6 months of them not putting up any new cards to go head-to-head with Maxwell? They've pretty much lost the GPU market as well. All of my friends (even AMD fanboys) bought GTX 970s because the Red Team delivered nothing. And when you wanna game, you ain't gonna wait 6 darned months for AMD to release a new lineup.

    While I do kinda lean towards the green team, I respect AMD and eagerly await their new releases (so Nvidia may lower prices). When I heard that the R9 300 Series would consist of 99% rebranded cards I was sorely disappointed, only to be excited for the Fury X. But now it seems that my hope of Nvidia lowering GTX 980Ti prices is ashes. Hopefully the DX12 benchmarks can prove AMD can still produce a GPU King.

    Roll back drivers and disable Nvidia Streamer Service if you don't use SHIELD or ShadowPlay. Worked for me.

    Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my rig (i7 4790K, Maximus VII Impact). Recently I have been unable to boot up my PC due to Q-Code 55, which is a memory problem (I think). So I tried swapping out my 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pros for my old but trusty 2x4GB Kingston HyperX Blues. No problems booting there. So, thinking it was a problem with my VPros, I tested them in my old rig (i7 3770, ASUS P8Z77-V) and boots perfectly, nothing wrong. So, I try placing the VPros back into my Maximus build. Nada. Retry using my Kingstons, boots no problemo. Is it a RAM problem or is there something wrong with my Mobo? Maximus Rig: i7 4790K ASUS Maximus VII Impact 240GB Intel 530SSD 3TB WD Black 600W Silverstone SX600-G Leadtek GTX780 Old rig: i7 3770 ASUS P8Z77-V 1TB WD Blue 750W AcBel PSU Leadtek GTX780 (I swap the gpu depending on which rig I'm using) Both PCs are running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit The RAM: 2x4GB Kingston HyperX Blue 1600MHz (works on both rigs single channel, dual channel everything) 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866MHz (only works with old rig, sometimes boots on new rig with single channel on 1st slot tho) Any sort of help would be welcome. I personally think it's a problem with the Mobo RAM slots, but I could be wrong...

    Fury is the main feature, but still, AMD should answer for rebranding their entire R9 200 lineup as the R9 300 series. It's not just stupid, its goddamn retarded. Why couldn't they release a full Fiji-based lineup? I mean, the Fiji-based cards look super promising, so why rebrand?

    If you have the extra money, maybe go for the Radeon Fury Series. Based on Fiji architecture. No point going with AMD R9 300 Series. All rebrands. Either that or go green team?

    I think you misunderstand why people are mad. What AMD is doing with the R9 390X (and their entire lineup) is basically rebranding old cards, with minor tweaks. The GTX 970 and GTX 980 are Maxwell cards, based on a newer architecture, whereas from the rumours, the only new chip AMD has is the FURY, and that reportedly costs more than the GTX 980Ti

    Don't get Kepler cards. NVIDIA's sabotaging the performance of Kepler cards with their newer drivers in order to make Maxwell look good. Search benchmarks of Witcher 3 or Project CARS and you'll see. Anyone with a Kepler card, Titans included can just use them as paperweights now.

    Actually they did admit it was downgraded. Kinda. The VGX 2013 trailer was an older build of the game which they scrapped in order to focus on performance. Still looks pretty though. The E3FX mod is just a reshade. And I think that is based on an even earlier version of the game. Looks too different from the VGX and more recent trailers. IMO the vanilla version looks better.

    But they are sticky. Oh gosh darn it. Looks like I will have to get used to red backlights. BlackWidow 2013 is gone from the market and so are my hopes of getting a MX Brown with Green Backlight. Almost all the customer reviews on the Razer Switches are about sticking keys and inconsistency.

    Thanks for the input. Budget for headphones I think now I'll lower to about maximum a V2100's price. Or around there. Currently its Cloud vs V1500.

    Yeah, a lot of what you guys are saying is really what I've been fearing. I mean, since the Kailh Switches are cheaper, why does't Razer knock off some of the price? And the fact that it is Chinese-made is kinda worrying. I'm Chinese myself, but I still fear products Made in China. And I'm not buying the Razer Orange Switches because "Razer claims its better for gaming" but because they supposedly feel the same as browns. What I am worried about is quality and like exousia7 says, consistency. Razer is easy for me to buy because it is sold almost everywhere here and RMA is no problem. But I really wish they had more variety with their mechanical keyboards and also wish that they'd stop messing around with China-stuff and PLEASE USE CHERRY! It's hard to find any 2013 Blackwidows here so I asked if the 2014 Editions are worth it. And has anyone else used the Razer Switches? Do you know of friends who have broken Razer Switches or such? These things help a lot, thanks.
