If you continue to have issues, it sounds odd but I'd recommend putting in a different SSD/boot media, reinstalling pfSense and restoring your config. I've seen weird things happen with pfSense if the boot disk isn't rock solid, especially relating to the Web UI and services shutting down and restarting some time later.

Glad I checked the forum before posting as I was about to post the exact same question! The same as you, I’m a dev wanting a new keyboard for working from home. I’d like something with Cherry MX switches, but not too sure. Found some good suggestions on WirelessHack but wanted to see if anyone had anything else to recommend...

Looked at the Corsair K63 but fairly pricey!

Unfortunately I would like the K63, but want it to have a numpad. I use my numpad all the time in my development as I am working closely with our financial team working on new software for them. This is why I was looking at the Velocifire, or G613. Just curious who has these boards and what they have to say about them. I dont want to spend a bunch of money on a new keyboard and end up hating it.

In that case get a HP Microserver G10 with a Server 2019 license, which enables you to run the hyper visor itself and two VMs. Set one up as a file share (I'd go with DFS since you seem to have multiple sites and it's expandable) and a second one with Veeam.
Add the onsite NAS as your backup repository and do an RSync between the onsite and offsite NAS if you want offsite backup aswell. Depending on the NAS it might be better to go with a Veeam Copy Job if the NAS don't play ball and won't run blockwise RSync.

If you don't get many more replies, it's because this is a topic that's beat to death - there's 5-6 posts in the first 2 pages on this very topic "what should I get"

Yours caught my eye because your budget was in the subject.

I would buy 10x 4TB disks instead of 4x 10tb disks (for speed)
I would ditch the pfsense box and add more RAM to the storage box (max out the mobo)
I would buy an HBA card (ebay: HBA and look for ones that say flashed to IT mode)
I would buy an additional NIC (for WAN)
I would install ESXi, then virtualize pfsense and freeNAS
