When my mum and dad got divorced she didn't like being alone at home with us so she got an old english sheep dog because of their gentle nature but intimidating size. He was an amazing dog like seriously, we all miss him to this day he was such a big part of our family. We also had a jack russel called Vic after sid vicious, we adopted him from my aunty who split with her husband and didn't really ever bond with him very well. I didn't like him when we first got him but he ended up being my dog in the end. Massive character, tiny pupper.

Back in the day... (showing my age) we used to build loops in cases then mount radiators externally either in rad boxes or if you didn't care about how it looked, mount them on something like the underside of a desk. Think outside the box, literally

Why are you bothered about staining when you cannot see it? ? 1st world problems. Any how, I don't have any high end pastes, I had some grizzly paste like a tiny tube I got with something I can't remember and the temps on my gpu were 40c idle and 68c under load, I now sit 24-26c idle and 38-40c load with liquid metal. If my cpu block stains then tough, part of using the stuff.

Wrong, i wanted the K because i wanted the option of being able to overclock in the future when it starts go get older. Just that. And also, the Non K version is a lot more difficult to find, at least here.

If you're not overclocking the 9900k then don't buy a 9900k. you're wasting it's potential for no reason.

If anyone is wondering, i did assemble the 9900K with the Corsair H80i V2 and it works fine.

    Idle: 27 - 30ºC
    Load: 69 - 78ºC
    Ambient: 22.4ºC

While i know the question was aimed raw speed, no one has mentioned how much a difference latency also makes.
netted me quit a significant amount of frames. not sure what ram you had though or what set up you ran but i can attest to anythinng over 1866 making a difference to me, After that I never cut corners when it came to ram again.

I'm shooting it down because I'm entitled to put my opinion here just as much as you are, the product contains parts im interested in ie 9900k, the thing that bothers me is they've been paid to do the review and at one point claim its silent then the next claim it sounds like a jet engine, if it was extensively tested then show us that footage, not b roll of it 9 mins into a test claiming it won't throttle, because if someone buys it based on the review and its throttling an hour into their workflow, its misleading.

You might not think this is an issue but linus and the gang have done this before with the whole delidding video a few years back claiming is completely pointless and tell people not to do it as a result of botched testing, they do it all the time now.... This is one of many reasons i question what they put out.

The cooler has a thermal rating which is lower than the thermal rating on the CPU, yet when i looked for more information i couldn;t find any, granted it was a fast scan of their site, so if what they say is true... it will throttle when the test starts getting into it. According to noctua's site the nearest cooler i can find like the one in the video says compatible but no overclocking and no boost clock headroom, so is it at 80c+ with zero boost? it opens up so many more questions and I feel like its intentionally misleading, just like their original delid video was.

Goin back to putting a 9900k in that tiny box, beyond pointless.

Ok when you overclocked the cpu originally you probably didn;t give it enough voltage and the freeze was a result of this. To return the bios back to factory, shut everything down, flick the psu switch to off, hold down the power button for 5 secs, remove the cmos, now hold down the power again for 15 secs or so. all this done with the psu plugged into the wall so it is earthed and will drain capacitors. put the battery back in etc.

Now when you boot up for the first time, it will take a little longer than usual to post, be patient, there will be a setup message after the bios logo has gone off, you should be able to go into your bios and set the basic stuff up.

If you still can't get into the bios then I suggest getting your motherboard manual and reading how to do a bios flash from usb pendrive to the latest bios, this should get rid of a corrupt bios or incompatible bios issue. you could get into your bios before so i doubt you have damaged anything overclocking, the only way you can damage a board overclocking is if you go silly with high voltages beyond maximum recommended ones.

-Silent under CPU loads, you can run a render for an hour and it's barely audible.  It gets loud during gaming because the GPU fan isn't amazing.

-Not paid to review the product

-It holds the clocks right around the 3.6GHz no matter how long you stress the CPU.

-Delidding got easier and the processors consume more power so it makes more sense now. Except for soldered chips like this one

-If you want to do content creation and have a small computer it's awesome.  CPU performs within Intel's spec.  If you want the max performance out of the chip then get something bigger.

Don't make promises like that, if he gets a dud kit like i did, they won't OC far at all without loads of voltage or loose timings...

From what i've researched and experimented with, you may be able to get 200+mhz but it will be at the sacrifice of latence the cas number at the end aka CL in most cases however you could get lucky....

I would suggest getting some ram rated for either the speed you want or higher with lower latency, AMD like fast low latency ram, so in your case i'd like to recommend it again. The best overclocking RAM is usually Samsung B die rated modules.

Benjeh reacted to SolarNova in Dark Web Vs Deep Web. Importance of deffinition.
I cant answer a question using incorrect definitions, it makes the answer pointless.
So again, misunderstanding what I'm stating.

I'm not saying the Dark web is USED for illegal activities, I'm saying Illegal activities and content of the Deep Web are DEFINED as the Dark Web. Its not an area, its a definition.

An orchard isn't an orchard until fruit trees are planted and growing. Until then its just a field. Its content defines it.

A website is defined as being a Deep Web site once its unable to be accessed using your average browser and search engines, a Deep Web site isn't considered a Dark Web site until its content is illegal.

So, "the Dark Web isn't only used for illegal activities",statement is wrong. Illegal activities/content on the Deep Web ARE the Dark Web.

This be the point of the discussion, the Deep Web , as a term gets a bad name because people assume the deep web is just the Dark Web, And the constant misuse of the terms is the cause.

Not surprised considering its from 2012 and is AMD. That cpu is 64bit enabled so you can force a 64bit version of windows if you fancy and possibly slide some more ram in there, up to you considering you're gaining access to the motherboard.
