oh ok thanks think i will just get more sata ssd i was thinking on upgrading my mobo for more pcie lanes but i have looked into x470 and they dont look like it has to 2 3.0 pciex16 slots runnin at x16 speed just wanted more pcie lanes for upgrade ability i might just save a wait for x570 if the price is right doubt it tho

i have a 970 evo pluss and getting another one for games/ files and will speed be slower on m.2?

so what port should i use for the adapter and can it be a x16 slot? and can i use my m.2 as a boot drive in the expantion card and is getting a pcie 3.0 x16 ok even if it runs ar x 4 speed?

so im hear again needing more pc help i just built my pc at xmas so i am a bit new but have a breif understanding of pc, so my issue is that i want to upgrade my storage and i wanted to get another m.2 as they way faster that ssd i allready have a m.2 ssd in the slot the ,i only have one m.2 slot on my motherboard so i was thinking of getting a pcie 3.0 m.2 card for more space but i have an issue, my mobo asus strix b350-f has only 20 pcie lanes 16 for gpu the 4 for the m.2 slot so i dont have any lanes left. the mobo has 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x16 or x8/x4) the x8 and x4 is if i put a gpu in the second slot and. the other slots are connected to the chipset 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (max at x4 mode) and 3 x PCIe 2.0 x1 3 x PCIe 2.0 x1. and when useing the m.2 slot my sata pots 5/6 are dissabled. so i want to add a x16 pcie 3.0 m.2 card can i do this without makeing my gpu go slower or if adding a x16 m.2 card slow down my gpu or is it only if you put a gpu in the secondary slot that it slows down your gpu in the first slot? dont know need help plz and does adding a m.2 card slow performance of the gpu/ rig asus strix b350-f ryzen 5 1600 rx 580 gpu samsung m.2 ssd 970 evo pluss

hey guys i have been having issues with my pc that i need help with so i got a new pc about 2 month ago and from then i have been having issue first the mobo had a faulty mobo temp sensor so got another one and my pc then had performace issue so i updated the bios to help and i did but now the issue is after the update my gpu now ether restarts randomly or turns off completly no input , to moniter mouse keyboard (but rgb lights are on) dont work no audio nothing everthing elce has power to it during this all case fans are spinning and cpu fan is on aswell and the only way to turn the pc off is the switch on the psu, the pc case button dont work. this happens more often when im not neer the pc like away for dinner or somthing like that, this has only happend about three times when playing games so throttling isnt the issue and temp isnt bad ether 75 max when gaming for like three hours, and if i might add this never happend before the bios update, and i can change mobo bios because if it turns off it bricks my mobo amd offer no help with this. if anyone can help it would be appricated

yeah i have updated it about 3 days ago to see if that was causeing a issue its not weird hu i thot so you think i should send cpu and mobo back for new ones the broken cpu temp will make it hard need to rma the mobo

it is dual 3000mhz i checked task manager there isnt much that is use the cpu nothing that would impct it that badly and driver are up to date

what would you recomend for bench
