Using it via PCI, serial, SPI or whatever -- it'd still work the same; you program the device to act as an expansion and you write a program on the PC to tell it what to do and/or read stuff from it. The only difference would be speed, not functionality.

I have that drive in my tower as my data/photo editing drive.  For a non-SSD, it seems very responsive.  Since this is a 5400 rpm drive, it will/should be a little cooler and draw less power than a 7200 rpm drive as well.

Thx, I found this one 2.000GB (2TB) / 5.400RPM / SATA3 - Seagate FireCuda SSHD - ST2000LX001 for around the same price.... Do you know if it is a good one?

Yeah I use one with my PS4 actually. It’s super fast, a little overkill for space but then you got plenty of room for any games or whatever.

I'd actually LOVE to see a video or video-series on privacy-ifying one's life, from ditching facebook, getting away from google, to encrypting one's computers, using a VPN, and email services. There are privacy focused alternatives to popular services, and some of them are much better than others in terms of usefulness, usability, effectiveness, and pricing.
