  1. Just wondering if I'm looking at this wrong or something came in wrong, but the cable for CPU power in the PSU doesn't match up with the motherboard sockets, pictures below. Thanks for any responses.
  2. So I've been planning to get an audiophile headphone setup for a while now, and have already decided on headphone to use (HE-4XX). Right now my budget is pretty tight and because I live in Australia it's hard to find stacks from companies like Schiit without abnormally high prices. So I decided to get the SMSL M3 DAC/Amp. But I've run into a stupid question, which is how exactly do you connect it to my PC (which is where the audio is going to be coming from)? As far as I know the box only comes with the DAC/Amp unit itself and a power brick and no cables. I know that the HE-4XX has a Y shape cable that I can just plug into the front, but on the back side there is RCA, optical and two micro B connectors. My question is, what kind of cable do I need to buy in order to connect to my PC? Because the last time I checked there is no optical or RCA on the back I/O, only USB, and the three motherboard jacks. A noob question to be sure, but any answers are appreciated.
  3. Hey guys, I'm here today because I'm looking for a pair of headphones. I'm going to be using these for gaming and music (primarily gaming). I currently own a pair of Superlux HD 681 and I was wondering, for around $150US what pair of headphones to buy. I like bass, but I don't really mind what kind of sound signature the headphones have. The main thing I'm looking for is imaging and how well I'll be able to pinpoint where sound is coming from (in games). Anything that is in that budget and is enough of a step-up that it justifies the upgrade. Thanks for any recommendations!
  4. Hi, So I have a case that has a 120mm fan mount right next to the graphics card Fans, and I was wondering if I should put a fan pulling in air or exhausting air depending on the GPU. If it's blower (like the exhaust is purely out of the back of the case where the I/O is) then I'll put the fans to pull air in so that the fans can have air to cool. If it puts hot air out of the GPU, then I'll make the fan push air out of the case so that no hot air circulates inside the case. My card is the Gigabyte GTX 1660 SUPER Gaming OC. Thanks for any answers
  5. Hello all, I currently own a Ryzen 5 2600 that is not over clocked due to my having a trash motherboard. I'd like to overclock however am not sure which motherboard to get. I think I'd do a medium overclock and I'm looking at cheaper boards, b450 if possible. Also due to certain Limitations I can only use mAtx boards Any suggestions welcome
  6. So my home's Internet access is in a pretty weird situation. The router is downstairs, but my PC is upstairs. I can't really wire an Ethernet cable up like that (I just can't) so I am currently using an Ethernet adapter that connects to the Wi-Fi and adapts it to an Ethernet cable connected to my PC. Recently I bought a Wi-Fi range extender and set that up near my PC. What I was wondering was whether or not I should switch my Ethernet adapter's connection from my router to the nearer Wi-Fi extender/access point. This might a dumb question but I'm still relatively new to networking as a whole.
  7. Basically what the title says I flashed my motherboard to an updated BIOS but then my drivers got reset or something Is this normal?
  8. It was actually a typo, it was a 2TB drive. I didn't realise that making a drive into a Windows installation USB would erase all of the current files, so I did it and installed Windows on my faster SSD. I turned the drive into NTFS later thinking it would make the drive normal again but found a large partition not being used but I didnt realise that it could be fixed easily. Thanks anyway!
  9. Hello, Recently I built a new computer, and in order to install Windows I created a USB media drive that would allow me to plug it in and install Windows. It originally could store 10 TB. However, I needed that drive to store all of my Steam games, but when I converted the format to NTFS, I found that the drive had only 32GB of storage left! Is there a reason and/or fix to this? Edit: I ran diskmgmt.msc and fixed the problem there. Please don't post on this thread
  10. So my case has included standoffs, but when I tried to install my motherboard through them, the standoffs didn’t go through and instead rested on the standoffs. i thought that this was a mistake at first, but I think that my board (Asus Prime B350m-A) is supposed to be Iike that the YouTuber Paul’s Hardware used the same board as me in this video: It is clearly seen at 19:29 that the board does not go into the standoffs, much like mine, but he screws in screws into the standoffs anyway. should I do this also?
  11. What should I do if the case standoffs here aren’t matching and being filled in by the motherboard? I’ve tried pushing down and moving it around with and without the I/O shield and they aren’t being filled in. I can just leave the motherboard on the standoffs and not in between them, and screw screws like that, but will that cause the motherboard to malfunction? it also seems that I can’t unscrew the standoffs
  12. Ok, do you know how many PCI expansions there are (I need 2 for the gpu and WiFi card)
  13. Hey guys. Just a quick question: does anybody know if the Asus Prime B350M-A has in built WiFi? thanks for any answers,
  14. Ryzen 5 seems just out of budget for me, do you think it’s worth saving up for? Or maybe a Ryzen 3 1300X? (Edit: buy the 1300X so that I have more money on future upgrades elsewhere in the PC)
