  1. Hey I am getting some final parts for a computer I am selling. TLDR was just building it for a customer with no GPU and no RGB they now don't have the money go figure. I will now need to just flesh out the computer and sell it on ebay I have found that a Chinese brand called Soyo is selling cards for a much lower price than other western brands. I have seen reviews of their other cards and have been reasonably impressed you think it is worth purchasing? Anyone else buy cards from Soyo? I am interested because of the price but I do not want to cut on quality. link to gpu https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805633756540.html
  2. Sorry for the delayed response I was at work the type of heatsink depends and I can't give you a clear answer but LTT has done some reviews on a number of heat sinks but do keep in mind the amount of space in your mid tower case as well as getting good thermal paste for your heatsink (thermal grizzly is an excellent choice) combined with proper application will go a long way. But this is also a time where if you want you could also go for an AIO water cooler or a custom loop since you haven't invested in air yet.
  3. it's the cooler's fault it just doesn't cut it and won't be able to transfer the heat quick enough while under load unfortunately. The only way to solve this would be to get a new cooler unfortunately. But now thinking of it for the meanwhile you could just crank for fans to the max in your bios settings by adjusting your fan curve, just remember that this will just get you by until you get a new cooler and is not meant as a permanent solution.
  4. oh god did they just cut a hole in the glass and stick a vent in it? this is the highest level of sin right there.
  5. lol skip the middle man and use a shop-vac on the other end. You can't hear the vacuum if you hear the voices.
  6. Ok to answer your first question yes it SHOULD fit but just make sure to install your memory first and hope they all show up (you won't be getting to them again. As for your question on the graphics cards I will leave that up to someone else more qualified to answer. but that mid tower is absolutely not going to cut it with that cooler and if you are truly going to be doing 3d animation then you will want to shell out more money for your storage and put your files into a RAID array. good luck on your build can't wait to see what you make.
  7. So while I have considered a vlan but I would want to have a whole new separate router for ICMP and other stuff
  8. So I want to install another modem in my house so that way I can have my server on a completely separate Network then my regular internet (so different IP, Router etc.) So I was thinking that I could install a second router into my house and pay my ISP for another connection. But would this even be possible?
  9. Well then again the Wii and it's source is considered abandon ware by definition and I don't think that Nintendo would even be concerned with home brewing as long as someone isn't profiting off of it. I mean whether we like admit it or not the Wii is a thing of the past along with the Original Xbox, the play station 2... That generation of consoles are unsupported and retro so to sum up Nintendo will most likely leave it be like with their old consoles
  10. hmmm wierd the link to that guys server didn't link here it is http://www.robroygregg.com/misc/supplement_0604_2008.iso
  11. Hi I have made a server out of an old Sun Microsystems ultra 20 m2 and it has been working good so far but I want to update the bios as far as I have been able to find the 1.8 version .img from someone's personal server that to be honest that probably won't be up for very long. I want the latest 1.9 version but ever since Oracle acquired them they removed Sun Microsystems support repository as you can see on the way back machine but the links go nowhere. Also to be completely honest Oracle just wiped Sun Microsystems prior to being acquired off the face of the earth. I as well can't contact the proper support on their website or their phone line because without a support id I can't EVEN TALK TO SUPPORT (smacks forehead). I just find it sad that I can search and find a whole freaken Macintosh repository but Oracle snapped it's fingers and all support disappears. But that's my rant but if anyone has anything concerning the bios update that would be AWESOME.
  12. I had this problem with my overclocked fx8120 but that is because I overclocked the living piss out of it. If you have any overclock try the defaults but it is weird because when I used Linux I never had that issue.
  13. if none of these work clear your cmos there might be a setting enabled that is causing the problem... could it have been configured to something besides delete or f2
