  1. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. Will definitely return it and get my warranty back. I might try one of those cards, but I'm not sure if I should just upgrade mobo and CPU instead and be on the safer side of things if my mobo is starting to retire anyway. I've been wanting to upgrade my case as it's literally a huge square and takes a whole lot of space, and also upgrade my CPU watercooling unit as it's one of the loudest units from tests I've seen. Will be expensive, but might be worth it. build is becoming 7 years this year, so it's soon time to upgrade what I haven't these past years anyways.
  2. I've tested both disks now. The SSD was nowhere to be found in BIOS, but my HDD I could see. A disk check happened, and my HDD is now working. I'm very happy about this, as most of my important data was stored on the HDD. SSD I haven't lost much that I won't find on the internet or be able to recreate. It just will take some time. Some of my music was lost, but I've barely started producing so no big deal really. I still wonder how my SDD could have died two times in 14 months? I'm considering upgrading my PC now as I don't want this to happen again. PSU is new so I don't think it's that. Could the mobo be faulty?
  3. I'll try that now, don't know why I haven't already.
  4. So I had a disk crash yesterday where I wasn't able to boot Windows from it. I tried plugging the SSD into a SATA to USB adapter but could not find it in disk management. I also had another disk in my PC with the disk crash (HDD), but didn't check that one before just now. I can not see the HDD either with the SATA to USB adapter. I know the adapter is working, as I've tried it with several other disks on all my different computers, and I can see all of the other ones in disk management. Have I managed to fry both of my drives somehow? This is really weird to me, as I replaced my PSU and the SSD 14 months ago after I had 2 disks crash on me back then. Is there any component in my computer that could have fried them? Last time I was certain it was the PSU's fault as the power cable for a disk caught fire, but since then I have switched out all of the cables inside my computer after I got the new PSU. I'm really confused about what the issue might be, and I'm now scared it will happen again. I've lost all of my data from my SSD and my HDD now, and I don't want this to happen again. Anything I can do to try and trace what might have gone wrong to fry 2 of my disks?
  5. I'd like to recover as much as possible, but I have most of my important stuff on a different disk. I haven't checked if my other disk is working, but I think it should be. I just want to add that this is the second time a SSD has died on me the past 1,5 years. Last time the SATA cable caught fire and smoke came out of my computer. I didn't change anything in my computer except from the PSU and the cables connected to the SSD, but my PC has had some weird graphics issues the last month. Was originally planning to upgrade my computer last month as well, and I regret I didn't do that now... Most of the computer parts are 7 years old, except for graphics card and disks mostly.
  6. So I was using my computer just 20 minutes ago when my Windows suddenly crashed. I got a blue screen and it restarted, but now it won't boot. I've pulled the SSD out and I've just now plugged it into a SATA to USB adapter and into my windows 10 laptop. I'm not able to find the device in disk manager. Is my disk totally dead then, and is there anything I can do to try and recover any files from it? I just did a SSD health check on it in November perhaps, and it was all good (SSD is just over a year old, Samsung 860 EVO). Help would be much appreciated as I'm not sure what my next steps should be.
  7. So there is definitely a chance that it won't fit whatever new CPU that will drop in 2+/- years, or should I most likely be safe with the S36? I'm considering upgrading my case, fans and water cooling unit, and for the S36 to last longer than my 4770k would be great for future proofing my upgrade.
  8. How future proof is the Fractal Design Celsius S36 for CPU's that will be released the coming years?
  9. Yeah I won't. I'm already scared of electricity soooo... Well, thank god it happened when I was here and not AFK!
  10. Holy fuck, my SATA power cable started burning and smoking when I tried this just now. I think it's safe to say my PSU is pretty much dead then?
  11. I have 2 HDDs but only one shows up in BIOS. 1 HDD shows up no matter what, and the other 2 won't show up at all even if I boot up with them connected alone. I have at work, so I can probably try that tomorrow.
  12. I've tried this countless of times already. No matter where my SSD and the HDD is connected, they won't show up in BIOS I also had some problems where it wouldn't even power on. I pressed the power button, there was a click and a flash but it didn't power on. Could it be that my PSU is dying? I've also tried to boot with only the SSD connected, but no luck.
  13. Hi I was cleaning the back of my rig and replugged all cables to my drives. 1 SSD and 2 HDDs. When I tried to boot up again it told me to "reboot and select proper boot device". Now in BIOS I can only see one of my HDDs and not the SSD and the other HDD. What can I try to fix this?
