Just yesterday my router crapped out and died on me. Went down to the store and picked up the asus rt-n66u Oh My God. I never knew wifi could be so rock solid and stable. I've done speed tests all over my house and even out on my street, the needle shoots up to my max connection speed and doesn't move from there until the test is over. The variance is about .05mb/s from highest to lowest. It's absolutely the best router I've ever used. I know it is expensive but I would honestly save and get it, or one on the same level, because you will have it for YEARS to come, making it a very sound investment.

I highly recommend the rival. I have one and it is really nice. Very comfortable in my hand, excellent tracking, I haven't noticed any acceleration whatsoever and it's nice and large, best comparison I can think of for size is that it is longer than an iphone 5s
