  1. Budget (including currency): $9000 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: everything Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): needing a GPU, preferably RTX 4090 that has at least 2 Mini Display Ports as my current 2080TI KingPin has Mini Display which is what my monitors are running on. Don’t want to have to redo cable management lol.
  2. So I was thinking about using an SGI Onyx 2 Chassis to create one of the most ultimate sleeper builds of all time. The case in question is massive and is from 93’. Weighs in at 250lbs with all the pure original SGI parts in it. From videos I have seen of the case, it looks like you could easily fit up to 5 systems in it. 3 EATX systems and 2 mini itx systems if you play your cards right. Might b able to fit more, just gotta mix and match. Was wanting to use high end parts since the machine itself msrp’d for anywhere between 250,000$ and 654,000$ brand new back in the 90’s. Thinking Xeon W-3175X and a ThreadRipper 2990WX for the main systems and then 9th gen i9’s for the mini it’s systems. Maybe even a few Titan X’s? What are ya’ll’s thoughts on this? Honestly, I’d like to actually see this turned into a video but doubt that will happen.
  3. Awesome, thank you so much for the help! I am gonna look into visual studio. I had a feeling that they would need admin rights to be able to execute the .bat. Also one more thing, we store the SQL on a file server vm that the user’s don’t have access to. So if we created a .bat and then created a .exe to run the .bat in the background, could that potentially work so we wouldn’t have to give them admin rights?
  4. I am researching the best way to create a .bat file to clear the logins of a specific program which are more than, let’s say 10 hours old. So any login less than 10 hours would be ok and not logged out. I need it to be able to be executed by AD users so they won’t have to call each time they get an error stateing there are not enough licenses available for them to login. They currently have a secondary program provided by the vendor that will do what we want, but it is currently broken and lets just say the vendor is trash and takes forever to push an update out to fix their software. Currently, we use a SQL script to clear the logins and we are trying to get that set up to execute automatically each morning. We want the .bat file as a backup though to put on the public desktop in the event that the script fails that morning and they get the license error. I’m not sure if this is the right sub forum for this or not but I will leave it here, and I will also put this in programming just in case. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!
  5. Correct. The RDP connection has been set up and works fine on other WiFi networks, but it is not working on the one that it needs to be on.
  6. Work, and the server is running Windows Server 16.
  7. The remote desktop connection is set up to allow it to connect. It can connect just fine on a different network such as a phone hotspot for example, but when trying to connect to it on the WiFi network that it needs to be on, it won't work and will say that the remote computer is not turned on.
  8. Problem network is a WiFi network. Located in a different city than the server that I am trying to connect to.
  9. So I am having trouble with an RDP on one WiFi network. I have switched to a different network and was able to connect with no issues, but when connected the problem network, it says that the remote computer is not turned on. That is not the case though. I am remoted into the server on a separate session. I have also checked the RDP Defender and the Windows Firewall for the public IP of the computer that is trying to connect when it is on the problem network. Any suggestions on what to try next?
  10. Just looked at the NZXT and the Floe Ring and I think that I like both of them...made it even more difficult to choose lol. I would kinda like to do a full on reservoir loop and pump config as well, have looked at ekwb but there are so many choices
  11. So I am starting a high-end Threadripper 2 build and am using the X399 ROG Zenith Extreme motherboard. I am wanting to water-cool it and use liquid metal instead as well. Any suggestions on the best water cooling and best case for it? I sort of have my heart set on the Corsair Obsidian 1000D, but there are a couple others I like as well...any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
