Hello, my friend is looking to get a prebuilt pc that's around 800-1000$
She is looking to be able to play vr and games like Tarkov.
Any suggestions?

3rd party audio on max, or both 3rd party audio and ingame audio on max...
3rd party max, game audio on 80%. I've been told that the ingame audio usually maxes at 80% but going higher just increases ambient volume like rain. But the headset is wireless as well so I was figuring that probably plays into it as well. I have it set to like 60% because if I turn it up more it destroys my eardrums lol.

Hello everyone, so when playing Escape from Tarkov the people I play with always hear enemies perfectly but I almost never hear anyone unless they're full sprinting next to me.
I have the Logitech G733 headset. I also am using the elgato wave mic + software which has the game audio routed through it and have the volume on it maxed.
Anyone have any suggestions or if you need more information to possibly help let me know
Thank you!

He doesn't do any of that. He just reviews them out of the box, replacing nothing. I recommended a few changes you should make to this.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CG2PGY6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 i have 2 of these in my current pc as well as an artic cooler

daivid tech tips did a review on that, you should watch it. your cpu and gpu will probably overheat.
even with adding a new cpu cooler and 1-2 fans to the case?

So I just purchased this https://www.costco.com/hp-omen-25l-gaming-desktop---11th-gen-intel-core-i7-11700f---geforce-rtx-3060.product.100767654.html and wanted to get your opinions on it. currently running a 1050ti, i5-4690k, 16gb ddr3 ram

Pretty similar to my set-up of my second system, but I'm running an ASUS Maximus VII Hero.
CPU and motherboard is capable of doing 4.4 GHz+ (I've got my i5-4690K running at 4.8 GHz for years now)
You are already getting close to 80*C while gaming, there isn't much headroom left in that stock cooler.
If you want to overclock, I would recommend that you "invest" in an aftermarket CPU cooler -- doesn't have to be anything super expensive.
$40 ~ $70 range should get you something pretty good.
Of course, if you want, you can always go $70+, and get something like a 240mm or 280mm AIO...
At around $40 USD:
- Arctic Freezer 34 eSports
- DeepCool Gammaxx 400
- Cryorig M9i
- Phanteks PH-TC12DX
- Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo (2x fan version of the Freezer 34)
$60 ~ $70 USD:
- Noctua NH-U12S
- Scythe Fuma 2
- Noctua NH-U14S
- Noctua NH-U9S Chromax.black
- CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240L RGB (240mm AIO)
- CoolerMaster MasterLiquid LC240E RGB (another 240mm AIO)
- Phanteks PH-TC14PE
so of the 70$ ones, what would you recommend

Advisable to use a better aftermarket cooler.
Also, what motherboard are you using (e.g. brand and model).
What kind of temperatures are you getting now with the stock intel cooler, and the CPU running at stock?
What are you idle (e.g. sitting on the Desktop) and load (e.g. gaming) temperatures?
CPU - i5 4690k
Motherboard - Asus Maximus VI Hero
Temps - Idle:47-51c / Gaming: 74-79

Is it safe to OC my cpu with the stock cooler it came with? I have a i5-4690k 3.5GHz

first thing would be to check the GPU temps... the latest updates to Windows shows the current GPU temperature on the Performance tab of Task Manager, so I'd probably check that first. Try running a game and have Task Manager up and check if the temps start rising. It's normal to rise a bit, but if it's getting over 75 degrees, that could be the issue. If the temps are staying at normal levels, then there's probably something else causing the issue.
Okay do i downloaded MSI afterburner to check temps and such then started to realize the numbers on the left are "gpu clock = 140" and "mem clock = 405"

Yeah, upgrading the PSU may help the system run more safely, but if you're getting bad frames, it might be that the card is getting too hot, or there's something else preventing the card from running at peak performance (bottlenecks from the CPU, RAM, or hard drive...maybe)
is there any way for me to check without spending a bunch of money on parts?

it says 250w PSU... while the 1050Ti is happy enough with 75w for itself, they recommend at least 300w PSU for a modern system with that card in it. You may want to upgrade. That may not be the source of the issue, but it'll definitely at least protect you from drawing more power than the PSU can handle.
i was recommended this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BFJ91TY?pf_rd_r=G4EC5Q4SBSXC2V0DK92A&pf_rd_p=edaba0ee-c2fe-4124-9f5d-b31d6b1bfbee&th=1
is this one good?

just put a 1050ti in it and now i am getting constant frame drops. would a new power supply fix this?

Tbh a better GPU and some ram would be good
Any recommendations?
1 hour ago, The RAM Guy said:Use a GPU without need for external power or you may need another psu
if you need it now GTX 1650 or RX 550. If you can wait. Just wait for next gen
Would a gtx 1050ti work?

Was curious what minor upgrades my girlfriend could do to her computer to help run games/ stream league of legends without dropping below 60 FPS. I was thinking a new gpu + sad might help but figured I’d get more experienced opinions

this and the aoc 24g2 are the best cheap 1080p monitors on the market, at 160 and 180 bucks respectively. frequently OOS but theyre worth waiting on, i have the asus and its a stellar deal for 160. looking back i'd get the aoc for the better waranty but theyre both very very good. the spectre is VA which aint bad but ips is often better, especially on these budget panels
where could i find those monitors listed at that price? the you linked is 230 on amazon and the 24g2 is 260

Looking into this monitor https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MTMCNLX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
but wanted to see if there is another monitor that's in stock/ better for the price

Just figured out you could do this so I was just curious if it is hard/ is it worth doing?
