  1. right ill get the specs out of the way first I9 9900k 16gb Gskill RGB CL14 Z390 Aurus Master GTX 1080ti FTW3 Hybrid i replaced my old pc because i was having kernel 141 errors when doing anything gpu heavy for longer than 20 mins long story short, couldnt find a fix things were pointing to a dead mobo or cpu so i replaced everything. my new issue is im getting stuttering. gpu utilisation will go from 90%+ and drop down to 40% or lower jumping up and down randomly. i noticed the stuttering in Monster hunter, ran a benchmark in For honor it was there too, thats when i noticed the gpu utilisation jumping so i finally tested it in forza horizon 4 benchmark as that has more details and would stress the system more. i kept my 1080ti ftw from my old pc as its still a good performer so i contacted evga for an advanced rma (they send you a card first) exact same issue exact same concistency. what do you think the issue is? if you are wanting benchmark results or logs from something like HWinfo that can be done just ask for it
  2. seems good, ill probably opt for a fully modular psu and get cable mod stuff. opinion on upgrading to a 2080 / ti / super? coming from my 1080ti that is.
  3. I have the phanteks enthoo evolv (non tg, tg version wasnt out when i got it)
  4. I’ve been in and out of the hardware scene for the past 3ish years, only looking at the odd update here and there. I’ve been having random crashing that appears and disappears randomly, replaced several parts and have gotten tired of it as it seems impossible to diagnose due to its random nature. I’m looking into getting a pc for roughly the £2.5k mark. and id like some suggestions as to what people would recommend for that price range i do have a 1080 it FTW3 Hybrid from evga and i don't think it is something that needs upgrading though if it bottlenecks one of the newer cpus ill definitely look into making an upgrade there. i also like my current case and peripherals i do want to upgrade my stupidly old benq monitor preferably with a 1440p+ panel with freesync / gsync (freesync being one of those nvidia compatible ones) The new 3900X is looking good for my use case as i do use maya photoshop zbrush ect on the daily though i also game in my down time though i haven't looked into many other options yet. any help you can give would be appreciated
  5. Hey, I started folding late yesterday and thought everything was ok, left in on for the night, checked the logs and every few seconds it has been spitting out the same error 16:59:56:ERROR:Receive error: 10053: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. 17:00:12:ERROR:Receive error: 10053: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. 17:00:28:ERROR:Receive error: 10053: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. 17:00:44:ERROR:Receive error: 10053: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. 17:01:00:ERROR:Receive error: 10053: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. anyone seen this before? only things i can find are people talking about a bug that was present in a 2016 build
  6. drivers are up to date no overclock, stock OC from evga not possible i only have 3 including the tv that is causing this problem. only one of the monitors work with the hdmi
  7. Hi, a while ago i used this setup with no problems at all (didnt have any games i wanted to play on my tv for a good while) when connecting the tv to my pc via HDMI the computer outputs white screens across all my monitors, tried restarting, get to the login screen and it wont go past that. (yes i know my password im using the same pc to type this) the only thing that has changed was that i upgraded my gpu from a 1080 to 1080ti, the hdmi output on the card is fine as i tested that on my monitor that means that my cable is fine too. im out of ideas, any help?
