  1. SOLVED I followed these steps from a reddit post I found •go to the support page for your motherboard for drivers and bios updates and select windows 64 bit •in the drivers & tools section, expand the chipset section •download “Intel Management Engine Interface Version 2145.1.42.0 •download Intel ME Version 2229.3.2.0 •switch over to the bios & firmware section and download Intel ME Version 16.1.25.1885 ME update tool •after you have the downloads, find the first file- Intel Management Engine Interface and extract all and utilize the setup wizard •repeat the same steps for Intel ME Version 2229.3.2.0 •finally, extract all for the Intel ME Version 16.1.25.1885 ME update tool and run the setup credits to /u/PvtJoker347 Performance is good now.
  2. I bought an i5-13600k but the problem is I'm getting way below expected results on benchmarks, for example on Cinebench R23 my result is 10834 multi core and 1989 in single core, according to techpower up review it should be around 23984 multicore. On Passmark v10.2 I get a CPU mark score of 23089 and the average score is 38530 On CPU-Z the result is 4701 on multicore when it should be 9847 according to guru 3D review The CPU is not thermal throttling, maximum package temperature is 77 celcius, it's not power limited either. I attached a screenshot of HwInfo64 while running Cinebench Multicore Test, hope that is helpful. I have tried doing a fresh install of Windows, disabling Asus Multicore Enhancenment on BIOS (it was auto by default), enabling XPM, and enabling intel adaptive boost technology (it was on auto by default). Also checked HyperThreading was enabled. The complete specs of my PC are i5 13600k Z690 TUF WiFi D4 Asus TUF 3070 Ti 32 GB Kingston Fury X RAM DDR4 3000 MHz Kingston KC3000 1 TB SSD EVGA 750 GT PSU Corsair Airflow 5000D case What do you think it could be the problem? Could the CPU be defective? I don't know if perhaps the CPU was damaged during shipping becasue the retail box was a bit crushed but CPU itself looked fine.
  3. @Glenwing I have a question, does variable refresh rate (VRR), either by Free-Sync or G-sync increase the datarate requirement? On the data rate calculator I don't see an option to add VRR so I wonder if it does have an impact and if so, by how much?
  4. I managed to slot the GPU in the slot I had to use WAY more force than usual, almost putting all my weight on the GPU, it seems that for some reason this motherboard was hindeirng some space on the PCIe slots area and the metal bracket on the GPU had to be forced to enter in. Same thing if I want to take it out, I have to use too much force that it seems like the PCI-e slot is going to desolder from the motherboard. I had built other PCs with motherboards that doesn't have an integrated I/O shield and installing a GPU was much easier, pretty sure that amount of force is not normal. Without further undestanding if the motherbaord desing is bad, if the GPU bracket was too bent or was just me installing it wrong, I'm going to mark this as solved.
  5. I tired with a different GPU (a GT 1030) and didn’t fit either, the bracket is into that hole. Also tried the 3070 Ti on a completely different system and fit fine, so I doubt is the bended bracket. To me the culprit seems to be the Z690 motherboard which I/O shield doesn’t work inside a case
  6. @stage Yeah, all GPUs have that slight bend, I have tried with an EVGA GT 1030 SC and didn’t fit either
  7. Actually the GPU bracket is not totally straight, it’s slightly bent on the tip, if I recall correctly it came like that out of the box. Do you think I should try to bend it back?
  8. I tried that and GPU fits fine, only gets stuck when I use a case If I try to use more force, the case and motherboard start separating from each other, here’s a video https://imgur.com/a/jej34A6 I don’t understand why, seems like if there’s is no space for the GPU metal bracket but a dummy bracket (the ones that came with the case) fits Also noticed the integrated I/O shield from the motherboard is loose and moves a little when pushed or pulled here’s a video, is that normal? https://imgur.com/a/cFpz1y4
  9. No, is not slotted all the way, there’s no electrical contact between the slot and the GPU, see this picture
  10. Yes, the lever is down Yes, the motherboard is not touching the case 1. I think is placed right, the mounting holes are in the same place where the standoffs are, I can’t move it much to close the gap or else I wouldn’t be able to screw it on the standoffs 2. There’s nothing there, there seems to be space for the GPU bracket to enter
  11. I’ building a PC with an Asus TUF Z690 and a Asus TUF 3070 Ti but for some reason I can’t make the GPU seat on the PCIe slot properly, it gets stuck midway and doesn’t goes all the way down. It feels some resistance on the left side where is screwed into the case I have tried on two different cases, a Cooler Master NR600 and on a Corsair 5000D airflow but there’s the same problem. Then tried with another motherboard (an Asus TUF B550 Plus) and the GPU fit fine. So I think it may be the motherboard integrated AIO shield because the B550 doesn’t have an integrated AIO shield. What do you think it could be the problem? Am I doing things wrong? Or do I need to RMA the Z690? I attached some pictures with and without the GPU
  12. If it only considers the wallpaper it's not a transparency, it should consider what's inmediatly behind the Window
