  1. Thank you very much. Order placed.
  2. Very soon-ish, I will be going on a road trip. I will be bringing my tablet and portable DVD drive. The tablet has 1 USB-C port for power and data, and the DVD drive has 1 USB port for data and power. The problem is that I can either charge my tablet, or watch DVDs. I have already tried to rip my DVDs, that way lied madness and frustration. I am hoping someone here more knowledgeable than I would know of a USB hub, or hub-like dongle, that can provide power to both devices and allow data transfer from the DVD drive and the tablet.
  3. I have noticed that one of the keys on my G710+ keyboard is starting to go; won't register a press unless you press in the right direction, on the right place of the key. I was young and did a few stupids when I got this keyboard, like tossing the key puller and assuming that mechanical switches are indestructible. With this in mind, I have a few questions that hopefully some of you will know more than I do. 1: How easy is it to replace keycaps and switches? If I'm changing MX Brown for another MX Brown, will there be any additional steps needed, i.e. soldering/dremel-ing? 2:Can I go into the local MegaMart and get a keypuller and switches? Will it be better to go to a local PC repair shop? Please note that the nearest MicroCenter is across state lines, on the OTHER side of the state. 3: All things being equal, would it be more cost-efficent to scrap my current keyboard and pony up for a new one?
  4. Unfortunately, the problem has resolved. Thank you for your assistance.
  5. The monitors I have(AOC g2460PF and Acer XF270H)are not displaying properly. Regardless of what cord, swapping around video cards, or what port they're plugged into, they have stopped displaying when using DisplayPort input. Is it the cable? The monitors? The video cards? How do I determine what the problem is? MB: ASUS ROG Maximus XII Her (wi-fi) CPU: Intel 10700 GPUs: 2x RX 590 Fat Boys PSU: EVGA 1000 G+
  6. Problem was solved(at least for the forseeable time). I updated my GPU drivers.
  7. This past Thursday, I managed to do some major hardware upgrades on my PC; specifically I switched from an ASUS X99 mobo and an i5-5980K, to a ROG MAXIMUS Hero XII wi-fi and a i7-10700. Install went well, but wouldn't recognize the SSD's. Fiddling around in the bios fixed that. Then I couldn't connect to the internet. More bios tinkering, and that was solved. Now, I have 2 monitors. Both are connected through DisplayPort. My newer one is working fine. My older one(~2 yrs.) is not. The computer recognizes it, but it doesn't get a signal. I've tried to replace cables, swap cables, "uninstall" it in hardware manager, turn it on before powering on, turn on during powering up. Later today, I'm going to be trying to use HDMI instead of DIsplayPort and see if that works. Is there anything that I might have missed? Any other possible solution? Should I just deal with the fact that I have a dead monitor? EDIT: have tried using HDMI instead of DisplayPort. PC does not recognize monitor, and treats it like a clone of the one that works. EDIT2: Tried putting HDMI cable into Mobo directly. No result, but I didn't go into bios either. Will probably fiddle with that later tonight.
  8. Thank you for all of your suggestions. I have my new mouse, and it's a Corsair Nightsword RGB. It fits wonderfully in my hand, and the RGB is at least unobtrusive.
  9. Ok, yeah. I still had the AOC one set to main monitor.? It's amazing how something like that is placed below the fold even in this day and age. ?
  10. Previously, I had 2 monitors: a Samsung SyncMaster 2494, and an AOC G2460PF. Now, I have replaced the Samsung with an Acer XF0 27" monitor. THe Samsung was connected by DVI, both the AOC and the Acer are connected by DisplayPort. When the Samsung was connected, all the games I had launched on the AOC, and they still do. Now I want them to launch on the Acer. I've gone through Windows settings, Radeon settings, and on a few I've even tried Alt+Enter. Alt+Enter either won't work with the program(FO3), or after being placed on the Acer, goes right back to the AOC.
  11. Hi everyone. I'm going to be replacing my mouse. One of the thumb buttons no longer works, and I'm getting odd random double-clicks, so I'm thinking it's time to send my current mouse, a Logitech G500, out to pasture. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to get. The only "tech" stores by me are Wal-Mart and Best Buy. Not a whole lot of variety there. So here's what I'm looking for: similar size, or slightly bigger(I don't have Linus' tiny baby hands), wired over wireless, RGB not needed/necessary(I'm kinda 'meh' on RGB in general). I doesn't have to be a "gaming" mouse, just a good one. I'm really hoping you all can help a guy out. Thanks in advance.
  12. It's going to depend on what you play. TL;DR: Overwatch/CS:GO-Yes Minecraft/Facebook-No
  13. OK. I'll try that the next time I turn on my PC. EDIT: Made the suggested changes. Pump now works as intended. Will be making inquiries about getting my money back for pump that I ordered.
  14. I was using ASUS AI Suite 3 to tune the fans, and I set the curve for the header the pump was attached to at 100%, and I did not see or hear anything change, in regards to the pump.
  15. Both PSU's were EVGA, 850GS and 1000G+, specifically. I have had the pump running, both connected and not, to a fan header. When I had it first installed, it was not on a fan header, and it was running faster then, than it is now.
