Erm, as far as law goes in multiple nations "hate speech" is NOT "just a term to indicate offensive and derogatory insults"... it goes much further than something being insulting or even grossly insulting. It is defined by intent to incite actual violence against someone or a group and is something on going, not a simple passing comment.

yeah, you're still going to get called a troll because this is  stupid comment. Neither the community or his videos have changed... have you not seen his old stuff? It is exactly the same, silly jokes, dropping things, and the occasional bit of tech info.

As for your "proof", what proof? How does anything in this thread "prove" Linus is paying for views? Do you actually have any evidence beyond your own dimwitted hearsay? 

That stuff is scary. It is interesting that most people have never made the connection but when you tell them how it works they realize how common stuff like that is. Same with friend suggestions on FB.

I find it nice, every morning it tells me the weather and traffic before heading off to work and a few headline news. I use it to control all the lights, turn on and off my computers, my fish tank etc. 
 
I don't understand the concern about the spying thing... safe to say just about everyone already has a smart phone in their pocket listening to them... Ever talk about a product with someone only to find an ad for it two seconds later while scrolling down instagram or FB?....  yup 

Considering that neither of those devices understand Finnish, I would find it quite useless!

Realized I should expand on this a bit more.
Technically my title is "Consulting Services Engineer". The titles used to be Network Consulting Engineer at one point and it changes from time to time. None of those titles really describe what I do though. I'm part of a group that basically, as I mention in the quoted text, is tasked with documenting and trying to break and validate network solutions for customers. We do everything from simple code validation, product validation, interop testing, scale testing, and all the way up to end-to-end solution testing based on exact customer network replicas. It basically depends on what the customer is paying for but mainly we target end-to-end solution and interop/scale testing for companies who either don't want to/cannot afford to have their own dedicated lab, or companies that have their own in-house validation teams but don't have the resources to deal with everything being sent their way or lack expertise in a new solution.

I have a job/career that's mostly just me having fun and trying to break things all day, then documenting things when I do break it. I enjoy what I do and I always try to get better. It's not all perfect or anything but I'm happy and it pays well

Soundproof the actual case then. Server hardware are not silent. No need for silence in a air conditioned server hall. I have two WD reds in a 2 bay nas in the hallway and that is the way to do it in an home environment.

HDDs are inherintly not silent, and NAS drives aren't really designed for it, since they'll usually be sitting in servers in server closets somewhere far away from everybody. If you want true silent operation, go for SSDs

i use NordVPN. Not had any issues with it not working

Who would buy anything but crap cheap stuff from a vending machine? A battery bank at 20 000 mAh is not more than 30 bucks here anyway.
