  1. What about people that are big with small dogs then?
  2. I think that might be true for some countries but there are countries where the majority can still use their brains.
  3. It was a bug in the new Chrome update that broke many add on's . Chrome is doing a roll back and it should be fixed during today. Might require a restart.
  4. It is amazing how many people they have managed to fool in to thinking this is actually ok and even needed If they do not want to do something or charge insane amount of dollars for something that is totally ok. What is not is how they try to force everyone else to not do repairs.
  5. Same happened to me a few hours ago and no full screen working on any videos on any sites. If I press f they work but if I click the full screen window nothing happens.
  6. In big data centers you have people in the building maintaining the servers. Here they are called drifttekniker and the translation seems to be operating technicians. Pretty much what I was but at a consultant basis. So when your local dudes did not know what to do they called me
  7. Only fail I can remember since the first Z model was on the Z5 when they all of a sudden decided that the built in energy savings in Android was just as good as the Stamina function they have. That all of a sudden cut 50% battery efficiency and people were furious about it. After a few months trying to deny how useless it was they gave up and let us have the Stamina function back.
  8. I did and so have many of my friends. None would ever consider buying anything besides Sony today.
  9. In my opinion they are superior to Samsung or Apple though. Well worth the price tag
  10. I have the XZ2 compact and it is without a doubt the best phone I ever had. Their Z models are so underrated.
  11. Hope they release a compact model of it. I really dislike these big phones.
  12. I got my first cell in 1994 it was a Siemens S3+. Have had a bunch of weird phones in my life. Like a proto type of the Nokia banana phone that was the first phone ever to have WAP. It was buggy as hell but worked for some stuff.
  13. I worked 50% with education so we got the tests and study material for free Only thing we I had to put in was time. Network directory services and Compaq servers was my thing though. So a lot of NDS and Active directory combined with server hardware.
  14. The Comptia Network+ is more entry networking for a general IT techie. CCNA is more entry level of a Network Engineer. I have the Network+ though but only took it be cause I was going to hold an education for Network+. I kind of like Comptia certifications though as they are a good basic level for most of their certifications. I also have the Server+, A+, Security+ and CTT+. Certifications are a lot of fun and very useful for learning new things and keeping you sharp when you are in the field. It helped me being focused on the subject.
  15. Oh, most definitely! I do not have a degree but tons of certifications and I was never without a job. Certifications can give the company a lot of benefits as well as Microsoft Gold partners and so on. They are definitely not bad at all. I really enjoyed the benefits as an MCT with free course material and a dedicated support line to MS for example. I am retired now though.
  16. I am not saying that certifications do not work. I took a ton of them. I am saying that the business value them less these days because of brain dumps. The exceptions are the certifications that are not only depending on a test with pure text questions but instead have simulations or lab tests like the CCIE. Sure they can be weeded out. The problem is that if you compare a CCNA from before brain dumps with one today a CCNA before gave you an automatic job today it might not even land you an interview. I remember when there was a check point on a green card application for MasterCNE. An MCSE gave you a collage degree and so on.
  17. I have the KFA2 1070ti and I am very happy with it. Overclocks great, not that loud and looks great.
  18. I went the certification track many years ago and worked as a combination of IT consultant networking job and education. About 50% of both. Took a ton of certifications and in the end I taught Networks on universities and classes I was not even allowed to apply to because of my lack of formal education. If I had to do it all over again I would have started with a formal degree though. Things are so much easier that way.
