  1. Motherboard: P6X58D-E CPU: X5650 Ram: 8gig stick DDR3 1333 GPU: HD7950 PSU: 550w Thermaltake Smart Hello fellow forum members, I'll start my thread with a little of a backstory. I managed to grab a pretty reasonably priced P6X58D-E and i wanted to see how much better of a deal it is paired with X5650 compared to something like 2500k+overclocking board (since i got the x58 combo at the price of the Sandy Bridge combo). I've done some benchmarks on my gf's 2500k system and proceeded to swap out the p67 pro3 for the P6X58D-E (changed just that). It booted into bios no problem, but after some time in windows it suddenly showed no signal. I uninstalled drivers in Safe mode (cause i was getting blackscreen after windows logo) but still no way to boot into windows. I swapped in a clean hard drive and installed windows from USB stick without a problem so i thought everything is all right now, but after some time after installing some programs and drivers the computer blackscreened again showing no signal on the monitor. I pulled it out of the case thinking it may be causing some sort of short but since then it wouldnt post. https://youtu.be/Ab6t5ZVOhdE It only would appear to be running (fans spinning etc. though no signal) if i pulled out the 8pin CPU plug. https://youtu.be/8as4f0RjV-c Everything still works fine if i plug it into p67 combo, so it cant be psu/ram/GPU related issue. Also tried plugging the combo into my personal psu with no success. Got any ideas? What would be bust, the CPU or the motherboard? Hopefully a gumtree guy lets me borrow his I7 920 so i can see if it's CPU, but until I hear from him, i'd like to hear your opinion. Best regards, Hubert
