  1. I should be getting my new setup by the end of the week, 8086k, 2080, 32gb of ram. Im going to be running an asus ROG PG27AQ and was wondering if the 2080 would have the horsepower to run that, and a 1080p monitor. For instance could i run a game at 4k and then browse the web in 1080? or will the second monitor seriously kill my frame rate? also are the any issues i could run into with the 2080 using dual monitors? will i still be able to use gsync on the asus while running a second monitor? Im thinking about mounting my old monitor on an arm but don't want to buy the vesa adaptor and arm if it won't work. thanks
  2. Hey guys, I've upgraded my whole setup, and I've gone 4k. I'm running an 8086k, 2080, and 32gb of ram with an asus ROG PG27AQ. What games could you recommend to really impress me in 4k? Thanks!
  3. Hey! I'm putting together a new rig and can't pick a monitor. Im gonna have a 8086k, 2080 OC, and 32gb of ram. Im not sure if i should go for a 1440p 165hz monitor or a 4k 60hz. currently looking at the ROG PG278QR for the 1440, and the PG27AQ for the 4k. im also looking at the ACER XB271HK for 4k Im upgrading from a 1080p 90hz monitor and am concerned that loosing 30hz if i go 4k will be noticeable and disappointing. I read that the Acer 4K monitor can overclock to 75hz when using G-sync. Is that true? it seems some people say yes and some say no. Will I really notice going down in refresh rate if I'm using Gsync? I feel like it would be a waste to not go 4k, but don't want to be disappointed by a "choppy" display. Any opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  4. thanks for the recommendation, I've been considering going for a larger monitor so i will add this one to the list as well.
  5. Hey guys, I'm a long time fan of linus' youtube channel, haven't been on the forums before but i needed some help. So im upgrading my whole setup. i went with and 8086k, 2080, 32gb ram. Im currently rocking a 970 with a 1080p 90hz monitor and want to upgrade that as well. Im looking for a high refresh rate 1440p monitor, my price range is about 650 at the high end. I know I could go for a 4k monitor but the prices are just too high for me. I want something thats going to have decent refresh rate, and i just spent almost 3k on my new rig so going for a $1000+ monitor is not really an option at the moment. Here are a few i was looking at, but totally open to options. How important is it that i get a G-sync monitor? thanks guys!
