  1. Okay so its my first time on this new Pc and I need help optimizing the experience. By that I mean it runs pretty hot at idle and under load it is the stock cooler that came with my 3600x but I used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal grease instead of the stock paste. 35 to 45c idles with random cpu utilization spikes and under load 65 to 75c. iv'e heard of under volting and tweaking settings in the bios but Im lost when it comes to amd's layout. I came from an old I7 platform. Also seems the cpu doesnt really ever fully idle or drop to base frequency im not sure if this is normal or not. my 4770k OC would go from 4.4Ghz to even under base frequency at idle sometimes going as low as 3.00GHz. chipset and drivers are up to date! FULL PC SPECS CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x stock speeds RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO using xmp profile @3600Mhz MOBO: Asus Tuf Gaming X570-PLUS latest bios. GPU: Asus Dual GTX 1060 6GB PSU: Corsair Gaming Series 800W 80+ bronze SSD: Sandisk 256GB SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB HDD: 2 3TB Western Digital NasDrives
  2. yes im getting the error when it crashes. and yes both my cpu and gpu are oc but it only seems to happen with certain games not all my games. most the demanding games I own run perfect reaching some decent frame rates on nearly maxed settings. the main games that have crashed so far are fortnite apex legends Rise of the tomb raider.
  3. literally stuttering then the crash error I listed. No overlays enabled up to date drivers.
  4. Okay so idk anymore computers are starting to become annoying. My pc runs fine my windows is not damaged. certain games run flawlessly and others have stutters or crashes. I tested all my hardware and none of my parts seem at fault since ive tested more demanding games at like shadow of the tomb raider at ultra-high settings getting an avg 40-80fps with no crashes in dx12. all my drivers are up to date. I could use help cause at this point im about to sell my pc and just stick to console gaming. I have nothing but issues with games on a perfectly running system. 5. Im getting some studder and frame drops in certain games so I dont think its performing at full capacity
  6. I am on windows 10 and Im aware of that but even in bios there is no option for 3.0 my bios is using 2.0 only and below

  8. Okay so I did some digging in the bios and looks like my motherboard isn't allowing me to use PCIE 3.0 even tho I now currently use a 1060 6GB which supports 3.0, my mother board also supports 3.0 but its not visible in the bios. Mother Board and drivers are up to date. CPU: Intel i7-4770K 4.4Ghz could use help with some fine tuning to squeeze out any more performance. Not an expert on overclocking lol. 9. Im kinda stuck with the 1050 since I cant afford anything else and switching to amd for me is not an option since I never had a good experience with the software. I mean ive entered a shit ton of events to win a gpu but not luck at all. as for ram Im going to be upping that soon but I wont be able to afford a decent card for awhile and if Im gonna upgrade it might as well be something future proof since I live in a high tax state with only minimum wage pay. so If I could even scratch more the $600 to put down on a 1070ti thats what Im gonna have to go for but that wont be anytime soon. Ive actually been trying to win a new gpu for the past 2 years since Im honestly that poor. I had a 780ti but it fried on me. Guess Im stuck with this lame gpu.

I feel like I spent alot of money on this build years ago but it doesn't feel like my hardware is working to its best.
  12. Okay so I ran the scans and they came back clean and as for playing without the overclock I have not tried that yet but Im going to right now.

  14. So recently most of my games have been crashing since I installed rise of the tomb raider and started playing it. Fortnite crashes after about 30mins to an hour of playing with no error debug. Rise of the Tomb Raider crashes with an error saying your display driver doesnt have enough resources. now Im lost cause Im using close to Geforce Experiences optimal settings for the game infact have some settings set lower then the optimal yet I still crash. Also my computer doesnt feel like its running at its fully optimized ability maybe linus can remote access optimize my computer? lol jk of course but I would like some insight on how to optimize my performance!!! Everything is on the latest drivers and no this did not start happening after updating to the latest drivers it seemed to only start happening after Tomb Raider kept crashing then finally causing a blue screen.
