  1. We just need to drop twitter/facebook/centralized media. We need to ask Linus to drop them it will be permanent after that.
  2. Sadly it is used heavily for PR and Propaganda, as it is very effective.(Just like Facebook and WhatsApp too.) (In India)
  3. You also get different front ends. Like Pinafore and Halcyon and Others.
  4. Mastodon is an open source decentralized alternative to Twitter. :https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-50343054?ocid=socialflow_twitter We all know that twitter is a cess pool of hate and trolls but due to a suspension of popular lawyer Sanjay Hegde twice the peopl had enough and started flocking to the alternative site which allows federation and openness. According to the BBC So, why were people angry with Twitter? Response of Twitter India: It is a good move as such because we don't want a single entity controlling the views / narrative to the masses. Mastodon has its own set of rules for each instance and is enforced by real humans. It is a better alternative one which is needed right now for users in India. A few mastodon instances for reference are linked below. https://fosstodon.org/ https://mstdn.io/ https://mastodon.social/ https://mstdn.social/

Ok Thanks for the info guys!

  9. Well My client didn't want to go for the professional recovery route as it was very expensive. I ended-up asking him to decide the value of data that needed to be recovered, I didn't want to risk data loss by trying manual self recovery. He decided to D.I.Y it hence I politely declined to help him further as I didn't want to be the one who screws up if something gets lost in the process. I dint charge anything for the service as I was not satisfied with the service provided.
  10. Updated DNS of my domain to point to my photography portfolio, blog, sketches etc on separate subdomains.

    Ex.

    1. blog_my_domain - Self explanatory.

    2. photography_my_domain_ - My photo portfolio

    3. www_my_domain_ - Main Domain Landing page.

    4. sketch_mydomain_ - Sketches showcase.

    5. ahref_mydomain_ - Links to my social media profiles in one page.

  11. Wow! It looks like a great deal to me.
  12. +1 He's the Mice Guy of YouTube
  13. I had a hell of a time when I tried to Install Windows 7 for one of my client. He was owning Lenovo Ideapad 320(Or 520) and I had trouble getting Windows 7 Installed in the first place. USB ports didn't work(WiFi, Ethernet etc), driver support was actually good considering I got all the major drivers from Lenovo Site, but I was unable to install Windows in x64 mode in my case as it was not booting.
  14. Alienware Laptop that is upgradeable.

Comedic criticisms (to the Verge - not you, Navneet) on the video, with added sin point values (except where applicable*). Maybe I'll call it TechSins if this gets up off the ground (probably not) :

      • 00:00 - The Verge? That's 2 sins right off the bat! 2
      • 00:17 - there are other laptops with this functionality as well. Clevo used to do it more often in the past, but it was still a thing (at a similar price-point). 1
      • 00:26 - that's been the trend for the past few years now, so you don't have to imagine it. *
      • 00:30 - partially invalid at best. MXM and full-sized GPUs have been used in laptops before. Also, AMD APUs exist as well. 3
      • 01:01 - WRONG. It's either the RTX 2080 Ti, the Titan RTX, or the highest-end Quadro RTX (depending upon which market you're looking at). 3
      • 01:14 - stop repeating yourself... *
      • 01:27 - so you took a step back in time to remove compromises? Just tell it how it is! I like the concept, but you're stalking around the bush right now! 2
      • 01:55 - this may sound like nitpicking, but the thing's built like a desktop replacement - not a desktop. MXM GPU is made for mobile/SFF designs. 1
      • 02:15 - close, but no cigar - "Federal Aviation Administration [are] for lithium-ion batteries rated above '100 watt hours (Wh) per battery'." 1
      • 03:24 - and this is the point where I stop watching if I'm not sinning the video. Proprietary form factor - DGFF card. It's like MXM, only for Dell. 1
      •  03:31 - I'll be surprised if this DGFF makes it past the year 2021 at this rate. Dell will be the only ones using it (unless they allow others to use it like MXM), and there's no guarantee that it'll work with future GPUs. They'll probably also have to make a bigger AIB design if the GPU gets larger, which will also break backwards compatibility. double sin! 2x2 (4)
      • 03:50 - Wait - what do you mean 'slightly'? It's not like the RTX 2080 is only somewhat better than the 2070, which is only a tad above the 2060. Even MaxQ! 1
      • 04:28 - that's the sound of mobile cooling. Are you shocked? It's not a thin gaming laptop. What are you complaining about? You knew this was coming! 1
      • 04:46 - you're complaining about battery life - on a gaming laptop. Equipped with a 9900K?! Have you seen the power usage on that thing?!? 1
      • 05:23 - then what about the ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC? With an upgradeable CPU/APU that can allow for swappable graphics as well? AM4?! *
      • 05:39 - Nothing is truly future-proof, and you know it. Especially on the Intel side (they keep switching CPU sockets every so often)... 1
      • 06:00 - What's to stop me from considering the ROG STRIX (Ryzen) instead? Or the Razer laptop shown off at CES (not upgradeable, but better portability)?!*
      • 06:09 - with the way you presented it, I have no hope for the machine whatsoever :( Linus needs to do this machine some justice at some point! 1
      • 06:17 - CES? Little?! TRIGGERED. 1

      Sin count: 24

Sentence: Go upgrade a 2018 MacBook - in under 20 minutes!

Will someone do this thing some justice?!
