Ah yes, It's a 300 nits 72% NTSC 60Hz IPS. Colours definitely look better than 45% NTSC
Thanks man

Side to side comparison with G5:
Y530 - more portable+modern design (eg thin bezel), better keyboard, less flashy
G5 - sturdier keyboard deck, optional TB3
7577 - basically the same with G5 but with weaker CPU (i7-7700HQ max)
Both have similar display quality if Y530 is equipped with 250 nits 45% NTSC IPS

Try to find Legion Y530 with 300 nits 72% NTSC IPS

Is the M.2 slot empty?
You can only install NVMe drive in Y530, SATA won't work. G5 supports both SATA and NVMe. May I know where are you from and what's your budget for the SSD?
Also, have you decide which model to get? Both have their own pros and cons, if you need further explaination just hit me up

SATA and NVME are interfaces. 2.5" and M.2 are form factors. SATA SSDs are the slowest, and PCIe NVME SSDs are the fastest.
An M.2 SATA SSD is just a SATA SSD in the M.2 form factor.

Highly recommended since CFL-H runs hot. Many users gain 10-20C reduction in CPU temp after repaste (not LM, just regular good non conductive paste).
Follow the steps, be careful and make sure you discharge static (not a big deal actually, just for peace of mind).
Yes both are recommended. Undervolting is relatively easier to do.

Hmm looks like these 2 are the best options. If you want slightly better cooling (just slightly) and slightly better build quality (lid in G5 isn't as good as Y530, but G5 wins in keyboard area), go for G5. If you want better portability, better design (compact, subtle) and better keyboard, go for Y530. Sadly though, you can't customize the Y530, otherwise you can get 144Hz IPS panel with 1050TI config.
Keep in mind that undervolt is a must and repaste is highly recommended.
Not sure whether the G5 has TB3 or not. Nevertheless, it's a nice to have feature

Where are you from? Budget? Any preference on weight and battery life?
Check my review. TLDR: both aspects are fine, definitely not terrible

i own a y520, the build is decent and actually it has already survived a full year of being moved around from home to school and back, in my backpack every day.
as for thermals... i have never seen mine throttle.
