sylarspock got a reaction from TheArium in Stormborn
Slow moving, but finally got my acrylic back plate order in and I was told I should be able to collect it on Monday.
Day Two: Mounting the Water Blocks
1) Mounting the EK Full Cover Water Blocks for my MSI GTX 970 TF5
2) Mounting the EK Supremacy EVO Full Nickel Water Block

To be honest, I have lost track of how much I've spent.
Perhaps after I've completed the build.
Till then...

sylarspock reacted to itsmyjobtoknow in [Build Log] Project Re-Define - Rigid Tubing | Hackintosh | Watercooled Define R5 (Finished)
I underestimated how hard it was to bend the PETG tubing and getting the right angle ...
To make factors even worse, I only brought four 36ft tubing so I am limited to the amount of failure I have...
And I had no other fittings that would have made the job much easier...
I barely got this tubing job done with the amount of failures I had...

sylarspock reacted to HappyChubbs in Radiator and Fan Choice
Yes, the higher RPM fans usually go on the thicker radiators. Always want to get the most air through your radiators.
Not sure if there will be a performance difference between using the 1850 or 2200 on either of the radiators though. The fans push a lot of air and the fin density isn't that high so I don't think you need to run those fans at maximum.
Planning on getting the Furious Vardars just because they are black and hoping they can run at lower RPMs without a problem. Using the same 60mm radiator also.

Alright so I did a softmod to disable ANY sort of throttling using the 47 CLK states in the vbios.

Thanks.
I was initially thinking of sending my case to get powder coated to white, but decided against it since the motherboard pcb is black as well.
I'm just doing some minor "modifications" to the case itself, but the only thing I'm remotely going to be paint are some spare silver PCIe slot bracket covers I bought to matt black.
The 900D's stock PCIe slot bracket covers have too many holes for my liking. (Stock Cover Image in Spoiler)

great job Brandon! really well presented and it is great to see the other members of the LMG to host/co-host from time to time.

sylarspock reacted to LogicalDrm in SD Card Showdown - 4K Video Edition
This was definetly one of better "normal" videos on main channel. Intro was somewhat classic humoristic style, followed by really well made b-roll sequence (pun). Rest was stuff that I'm not that interested about and weakpoints are covered by others already. But its still more interesting and fun to watch compared to Pono review just earlier.

Brandon did great. Camera stuff would be a good addition to your videos. Glad to see the sandisk I bought 2 days ago was the correct choice.
