I'm looking for a 23-24 inch IPS 1080p monitor in the $150 - $200 range. I'll be using it for writing code, some Photoshop and illustrator work and watching movies, I'll be doing some light gaming like Fifa, etc but gaming features like 75hz and freesync are not a priority. I'll be connecting the monitor to a laptop using an HDMI cable. The laptop has a Nvidia 940mx and i7 7500U, I'll be working on Windows and Ubuntu. I want the monitor to have good and accurate colors. A matt screen is necessary since I can't control the amount of light in my room.
I've narrowed down my choices to these monitors:
1. Dell P2419H
2. Dell S2419H
3. LG 24MP88HV, I'm a little hesitant about buying this one as I've heard about pixelation issues (in blue and yellow colors) and washed out colors in the 24MP59G.
4. ViewSonic VX2476-smhd
5. BenQ EW277HDR
I'm leaning towards the P2419H as it has a fully adjustable stand and I've used the S2419h in the past and liked it's colors.
Any other recommendations are also welcome.
