  1. I'm building my first pc and after much research about ram I have decided on 3000 MHz 16 gb but was wondering if there would be a advantage to using 4 4gb vs 2 8gb with my setup I plan on using a msi x470 gaming plus and a ryzen 5 2600 with a Vega 64 I will be gaming on a 1440 monitor with a high refresh rate any help would be much appreciated.
  2. I found. This 1070 but it's no small price jump so would it be worth it to use it instead. Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB Windforce OC Video Card ($329.99 @ Newegg) What about a hybrid drive would it make any difference in game load times
  3. This is going to be my first build and my first time doing anything with amd any help would be appreciated. 4. I just recently cloned my laptops HDD to a SSD. before I did I ran a cinebench test for both cpu and opengl as well as some gameplay of take on Mars. now when I run opengl it says "your GFX-card does not support the required features for this test" and when I try to open take on Mars it says no directx9 or shader 3.0 capable devices. I have going back to the HDD but now it is saying the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. I have just received my new SSD kit from Kingston and cannot get the software to work so im looking for free software online to move data from my 500gb HDD with only 88gb used to a 120gb SSD and I was wondering if I would be able to use macrium free without any problems and if there were any additional steps needed to optimize my SSD.
  6. Yes they are providing it for free
  7. I'm switching my isp to spectrum with 100 Mbps connection and there's an option for them to provide a modem router. I was wondering if it would be worth it to invest in a new router and if it is any suggestions would be appreciated
  8. So I found a old computer with the only problems being some bad ram and a bad HDD I was thinking I could play around with it and make a good web browser that could play some older games like age of empires and total war and give it as a gift. The Mobo is a ms-7548 with a pci express x16 I have looked at the graphics cards and CPUs available and I was thinking that the following would work together but the old mother board is not on pc builder some I could you some help with compatibility ViewMax GeForce GT 730 4GB AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition
  9. Are there any RGB AIO's that are good or should I just let go of having RGB. I'm going with a theme that looks like the engine of the Normandy from ME the kinda blueish color with splases of red not for any particular reason just thought it would look cool.
  10. Your right I definitely need a SSD. But why don't I need thermal paste? So then a 8700k can be overclocked as far as I could the 8086k without extra wear that's the only reason I picked it
  11. This is going to be my first build for gaming I would like to keep the budget close to what it is now I went a little overkill on some parts with the intent of easy future upgrading but I was wondering if the were any parts I could swap to get better preformace with the same upgrade ablity any suggestions would help.
