  1. Hey! I have an AW2518Hf (240hz, FreeSync) and a P2419H (60hz, No FreeSync) running in a dual monitor setup. Everything works perfectly fine until you try and run the AW2518Hf at 240hz, where there is just a blackscreen. It works perfectly fine when running at 144hz. I've attempted to see if it's a hardware bottleneck but running my 60hz and lower and even some interlaced refresh rates, but I doubt it is given my specs. I've also tried disabling FreeSync etc. No idea what the problem is. Any ideas? Running the Ryzen 7 2700X with a Vega 56, Adrenalin 2019 Drivers
  2. You are correct, but don't push it. Your professor knows more than you in this subject and arguing doesn't solve anything in a case where everybody got it wrong.
  3. If you're super concerned about doing something wrong, prebuilts are the way to go. Not much to screw up there.
  4. You can make a PC capable of 720P gaming with a Core 2 Quad and a GT 1030.
  5. Screenshots capture the framebuffer that is being sent from your GPU to your monitor; in most cases this is what you're seeing. The only thing I could think of is that if a controller on the card failed, meaning the display would be full of artifacts but the framebuffer would be fine.
  6. Hej bror! Det ser godt ud. (little rusty on Danish, it's been a while)

  8. I've gotten IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL from kicking my computer. Don't ask. It may mean you've physically dislodged something.

  11. 2.2 part slot means it will occupy 2.2 PCI-E bays in your case. It will fit.
  12. Not always. Refurbished cards have limited and typically far shorter durations of time warranties from most manufacturers. ASUS and others will offer RMA cards (refurbs) with extended warranties. Either way, there is no need to hang onto a GT 730. Low end GT 1030s or RX 550s are getting more affordable and it will take much less time to just buy a new one. Even if OP does get his card working, the time he will have put into it will be of similar value to just buying a new one. Also, nice play you're living, eh?
  13. Underclocking prolongs the inevitable death of a defective card. This is horrible advice if you're under warranty because tons of manufacturers will discredit the legitimacy of a warranty for messing with a card's clocks, and 200% of the time it's better to RMA.
  14. Either it's severe artifact-ing or physical damage to the GPU. Either way if you can't fix with a driver reinstall, windows reinstall, GPU BIOS flash or reset, it's a bad one.
  15. im considering purchasing BO4 Assassin's Creed: Odyssey but i will actually purchase 13041913981893 alpha packs and the elites for rainbow six siege Help me.
  16. [insert generic response about how this could be due to various things such as drivers, thermals, motherboard issues and physical damage] have you tried reinstalling windows?
  17. heck no. That's a good board and for an i5 it's not even close to it's potential.
  18. This is not how solid state drives work. Though the complete usage of the write partition of the drive may diminish it's health over a prolonged period of time, the main worry with OP's choice of drive is that 60GB is not capable of hosting upcoming Windows updates most likely.
  19. Corsair has a higher latency but a higher frequency. G.Skill has a lower latency and a lower frequency. With G.Skill we have 15 cycles at 2400MHZ which is about a 6.3 nanosecond latency. With Corsair the 17 cycles at 3000MHZ represent around a 5.7 nanosecond latency. This makes Corsair the better choice for lower latency over the elapsed cycles.
  20. Anything is possible, it just depends on how much money and time you want to waste on (if applicable) desoldering, accounting for voltages and power provided to the socket, buying flux and desolder equipment. The constraints of how you can mod something is just your imagination, but it can get very expensive, time consuming, frustrating, and if you lose interest in it, ultimately not rewarding and a waste of resources.
  21. Don't. Please, disable game mode. It's a misnomer, it is not required nor recommended to use while gaming. It is for T H R E A D R I P P E R chips only. Run at 8 cores, 16 threads and then share the benchmark.
  22. GAMEMODE IS FOR THREADRIPPER ONLY. DO NOT ENABLE IT ON A RYZEN CHIP. IT DECREASES MEMORY LATENCY IN RYZEN CHIPS AND LOWERS CORES BEING USED. Please, this is for the TR which one has 1/2 of its core using high memory latency. You are shooting yourself in the foot here pal.
