Lordclouds got a reaction from lmeneses in First build
The new intel cpu is dropping the Ryzen 2700x price down. You could wait a bit more. By the time is Black friday the price will be really low

I'd go for the Ryzen since it's the better value of the two

Lordclouds got a reaction from lazyfortress in Switching Motherboard + CPU; is there an easier way of transferring files?
And HDD can be connected to another pc in order to take the files out. When my pc died It did not wanted to repair and it stayed in a loop so i had to do it in order to get my vst files out

Lordclouds reacted to Fasauceome in Do you guys think this gpu is good? (ICHILL GEFORCE GTX 1080 BLACK)
If you want reliable, you don't get a radiator, unless you're good at water cooling maintenance.

No.
Also thats not how crossfire works. You dont add the VRAM.
Dual is just ASUS branding for their cards with 2 fans.

Lordclouds got a reaction from Arika in Amazon costumers getting sign-in code emails
Dont worry about it. Is probably someone trying to hack multiple accounts, make sure to change your password by going to the amazon website. Don´t touch emails asking for password changes.

Lordclouds got a reaction from Hi P in Need help with upgrading rig.
I have the 2700x only because it makes me money if it didn't it would be a 1700x instead.
-
Lordclouds reacted to Shimejii in Need help with upgrading rig.
Do not buy an NVME drive until you are making money from production. You will not benefit with the added costs. SSD's are good enough for 99.9% of people, NVME really should only be for business use. As you have to build up an audience first before you make enough money to justify the NVME.
Get a Ryzen 2700x, 16 GB of 3200 mhz ram.

Lordclouds got a reaction from Hi P in Need help with upgrading rig.
Either get the 1700x or wait for next release

Lordclouds reacted to Enderman in Fx 8350 any good?
It has no iGPu so no, you can't see anything unless you have a GPU in the system.
-
Lordclouds reacted to lmeneses in Ram
Nope, but if the speed of the new ram is below 3200 MHz, it will default to that speed. So, let's say you got 3000 MHz ram, then the speed of your combined ram, including the 3200 Mhz, will be 3000 MHz

Lordclouds reacted to DailyProcrastinator in how can a faulty PSU kill components?
Yes pretty much, think of Thor in Ragnarok shooting lighting from his hands. But instead, it's your PC components.

yes it opens the circuit and basically turns your pc at the mercy of your house breakers
