  1. Oi mates, So I'm downgrading my main rig to safe up for the steam deck: I went from an rtx 3070 to an rx 6600 and I downgraded from 1440p to 1080p. I used DDU and Installed the new AMD drivers directly from AMD's website. I tried 2 games so far (Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG) and in both of them I am now experiencing FPS hitches every few seconds. Sometimes its a very slight hitch and sometimes the game freezes for almost a second. I really have no idea what could be causing this and I hope there is a solution that doesn't involve a fresh windows format. Anyone experienced this before? If so how have you fixed it? Hope u guys can help! thanks GM
  2. I opened it today to give if a clean and found the problem (picture attached)
  3. Hi guys my laptop has been acting weird for a month now. It started all of a sudden about a month ago, my fps where lower overall but more annoying are the frame dips into single digits. I assumed the temperatures where fine because I changed nothing in the laptop and the room temperature is lower overall. I reinstalled all games and display drivers but the problem persisted. I installed precision X and here's the results. So I opened it to clean the dust and I think I found the answer. On the gpu side one of the screw mounts broke off. I can't imagine how this happened because i basically use it as a desktop. The new question is will. Warranty cover this? I worked in a retailer in Portugal (worten) and I know most brands tell you to go fuck yourself if there is damage. Is my laptop busted? Do you think a fresh Windows install could fix it?
  4. Hi guys. I moved to England and got my desktop and monitors transported with DHL. They must have had their fun kicking my package around because when I finally opened it there was a huge dent in my PC case and dead pixels on one of my monitors. Unfortunately I couldn't claim insurance on the broken stuff because I opened the packages too late. (big F) The monitor in question is the BenQ GW2765HT (model number 9H.LCELA.TBE) I've been looking for a replacement panel but it is my first time doing so and I'm having no luck. I'm hoping one of you gamerbois will be able to help me.
  5. I attached a video and image of the task manager
  6. I meant 13 I attached a video that shows the fps counter
  7. temps are normal background is just the game, discord an a few chrome tabs.
  8. Hey guys so i game on my laptop and while playing rainbow 6 it almost never goes below 100fps today I started playing and it is almost unplayable. It fluctuates from 12fps to 1300fps and I have no idea why. power settings are on high performance and the nvidia settings are on fast and it is still bad. Any Idea what to do? Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege 2019.09.22 - 20.05.53.03.DVR.mp4
  9. Hi guys! So I've had the Cooler Master Mastekeys S for less than 3 years and it started to act up: I've tried 4 different microUSB cables that I'm sure work. sometimes it sticks the input for slightly too long and but the worst is that it doesn't allow to HOLD any key it simply spams it super fast as you'll see on the video. Is it fixable? I'm willing to try anything as it's unusable as it is. Let me know if you guys have seen this before and if there is anyway to fix it p.s.: If you listen to the audio you can tell I click the laptop keyboard first and then the mechanical. https://youtu.be/DIIZOFRyEaQ
  10. Hi guys, My current setup takes way too much desk space and I was thinking of stacking my monitors and put my laptop a tray. I was wondering if any of you have similar setups and if you know of the best way to achieve it as I don't know if the arm measurements are standard. Feel free to drop any links or tips on how to achieve this. I photoshopped some images to show what I'm looking for.
  11. Hi guys, so I bought the new legion 740 15" and so far I'm loving it. one of the few less good things is the battery life. However, I saw on Dave2D's review this option to turn on a hybrid mode in Lenovo vantage. From what I understood it disables g-sync and runs Intel integrated graphics, saving battery life. However, my version of vantage doesn't have the hybrid version seen on the video I mentioned. How do I turn this feature on or how do I reinstall Vantage??? pls help I really could do with this feature for an upcoming flight.
  12. Hey! I recently Sold my laptop and aging desktop and bought a Lenovo legion y740 to replace both. However, I still want to keep both my monitors (1080p 144hz and 1440p 60hz) Is there a thunderbolt dock that can run both monitors plus peripherals and audio on the "cheap"? Also, does G-sync work over a thunderbolt dock? Would appreciate suggestions that are buyable in Europe/UK
