  1. Also, since it's Ryzen and DDR4, doesn't it have quite the good upgrade path later down the line? I've been told that Ryzen is a very good platform to get onto.
  2. And any recommendations for a particular B450 motherboard? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I'm not the best at this kinda stuff.
  3. Ah, well I already have a coolermaster pro, so I guess I'll be going for the R5 3600. Any recommendations on what sort of DDR4 RAM I should be getting? I'm mostly upgrading to play Monster Hunter: World and Destiny 2, if that helps any.
  4. Basically, I am currently running an AMD Athlon II 645 and a GTX 1060 6GB, which is a horrid combination. Along with some random motherboard that I honestly forgot the name of. However, I am planning on upgrading to a Ryzen 5 3600x, but I will need a new motherboard for it. I was also wondering if I would have to upgrade my 8 GB of DDR3 RAM as well. I am hoping that this is the right part of the forums for this question. Basically, my question is what motherboard should I go for so that I can make them run smoothly together.
  5. Too bad I'm nowhere near Microcenter. : ^) I've heard so much good stuff, and it just makes me even more disappointed that the nearest Microcenter is about 18 hours away lol. But yeah, I'll start saving up. I don't have any money at the moment, so sadly I'm going to miss out on Black Friday.
  6. I just upgraded my drivers to the newest update with Nvidia Geforce Experience. Also, nope. It's an SSD, so from what I know, it's very hard to put at 100% usage. And I don't have anything else on the SSD. So, what's the order you suggest I update things? Since I only have DDR3 RAM atm. I'm in college, so I'm really cut for cash.
  7. Also, that's the thing. It's no longer at 100% CPU usage, but it's still stuttering, which doesn't make any sense. Stuttering is caused by the processor being unable to process information fast enough, isn't it? Also, yeah, I'm planning on upgrading to 16 GB. I would have done it sooner, but my brother is a "8 GB is all you need" preacher.
  8. Feelsbadman. The more I hear about this thing the more I hate the fact that I wasted money on the piece of trash lmao. But the weird thing is that even whenever I log out of the game, my PC is more laggy. It even starts stuttering on YouTube.
  9. 1. AMD Athlon II 645 3.1 2. GTX 1060 6GB 3. 50-60 Degrees Celsius. 4. CPU gets to 100%, GPU Doesn't go above 50%. 5. Coolermaster. 6. Yes, it even begins to stutter in League of Legends. It also begins to stutter in Risk of Rain 2, and Skyrim: Special Edition. 7. 8 GB of RAM, GTX 1060 GB, AMD Athlon II 645 3.1, 1 Terabyte Harddrive, 100 GB SSD.
  10. Basically, I have a weak CPU and a Strong GPU. But, games like Destiny 2 start out running fine and gradually grow more and more stuttery and laggy. I am pretty sure that it's being caused by the CPU heating up, but it could be caused by something else. If I were to increase the CPU fan speed, do you think that it would make the games run for longer without stuttering? This is a temporary fix, of course. I'm still planning on upgrading my CPU ASAP.
  11. Also, I'm going for the 2700x because it isn't as expensive. Currently in College atm and expenses are tight, but I am saving up to make my PC better.
  12. Wait, what is a PSU? Sorry, I'm still kinda new to this entire PC Building thing.
  13. Well, my budget is around 400-500$. I play several CPU intensive games like Destiny 2 and Generation Zero, Skyrim: Special Edition, GTA V, whole bunch of stuff like that. And I am in Oklahoma, US. I can give more specifics if you want.
  14. I currently have a GTX 1060 6GB and I am planning on getting a Ryzen 2700x. I will need to upgrade my motherboard because it is currently a AM3. The current CPU I have is severely bottlenecking my GPU and also every time I play a game it slowly gets slower and slower until it's stuttering like crazy. But basically, I am planning on upgrading both my CPU, Motherboard, and RAM, and I was wondering if anybody has suggestions on what do you think would go with the CPU + GPU pairing.
  15. Yeah, the closest Microcenter is in Dallas, TX. Do they have an online store? Edit: I just checked, and yes they do. However, I'll probably just stick to trying to find stuff on Ebay.
