This is very true. Could i use a B450 Mobo instead of a x470? Would there be any perceivable difference? -

That CPU is an amazing find, in USD,but sadly a little bit high for my budget. I have already picked up 16GB of ram a little while ago. Somewhere around $300 AUD is my budget as its a tough time of year for money. Thanks for your help though -

My main monitor is 75hz And yes, I would like to start streaming and video editing. I am also doing a graphics class at school so I use Autodesk Inventor and AudoCad quite regularly which means lots and lots of CPU rendering. -

What i meant by the CPU usage is that more tasks that i am doing are reaching the max performance of the CPU. And yes, a new 2600: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07B41WS48/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ANEGB3WVEVKZB&psc=1 -

Seems like they are more expensive by themselves then getting a CPU, MOBO and a better upgrade path. https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=i7+8700&_sacat=0&_sop=15 -
Hey Guys! I have been thinking, is it worth it to upgrade a i3-1800 to a Ryzen 5 2600 along with a new motherboard? I am starting to see my CPU hit 100% utilization more than i would like especially in GTAV. For comparison if i was to just get a 6 core intel processor (i5 9400f) it would cost about the same amount as the 2600. Thanks for your help guys!

Actually thank you so much man! I think i might grab 2 of the 2450's next pay week as i also would like slightly more single threaded performance. Thanks ma man!

I'n not getting any encoding errors and the MC server im trying to run as long as the server is up as my friends play on it basically constantly, for some reason..
-
Thanks for the info Are RX cards ok at Encoding?
-
What GPU would you recommend on the lower end to act as an Encoder? My CPU when recording at 1080p 60FPS, Very Fast usage preset.
-
So if i was to get a cheap GPU it wouldn't help, even one with NVNc support?

Hi guys I have an old Dell Poweredge T420 that I got from work a while ago. Right now all its doing it running a windows share and a MC server. I had an idea to use it as a capture PC for my Elgato HD60 and wanted to know if i should pick up a cheap GTX750ti, 1030 or something cheap like that to accelerate the encoding. I have enough PC horse power and Internet bandwidth to easily stream 1080p 60FPS. Specs: 2x Xeon E5-2420 @ 1.9 - 2.4GHz 16GB ECC DDR3 @ 1600MHz

Lets hope that they play nice.

Sorry, what I meant to say is do you think that Nvidia will support freesync over HDMI as AMD does?
-
Do you know if it will be in the future?
-
If I was to go out and get a Display Port to HDMI adaptor would i be able to use Freesync/ Gsync on my Acer Nitro VG270 (it supports freesync but only over HDMI ad it does not have a DP connector.). If so would i need to get an active or passive adaptor for freesync to work? Thanks guys P.S. Link to my monitor: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/model/UM.HV0EE.001 Also I have a GTX 1060 so Gsync is supported natively.
