  6. Its not. It will however help with the “my machine is being a furnace” issue. My wife’s machine was overheating and before I disassembled it and cleaned / re-greased it I have lowered the max cpu power to 75 which stopped it from overheating. was I wrong to advice the OP this as a possible solution?   8. In advanced power profile settings lower maximum CPU speed to 75% or less. That should do it. Regards. Andrzej
