Lighto reacted to DailyProcrastinator in What should I upgrade?
I'd probably wait right now, Nvidia and AMD will launch new hardware later this year. But I'd go for a full rebuild, new CPU, motherboard, memory, likely a new PSU, and GPU.

Lighto reacted to Viper9 in What should I upgrade?
You could upgrade your graphics card for an RTX 2060S, but don't go above that because the CPU will bottleneck your GPU.
-
Lighto reacted to Tigerleon in What should I upgrade?
I would say everything except the hard drives. and SSD's. Because you can get a pretty good pc for 1000 euro.

Lighto reacted to Crunchy Dragon in Reset Win10 and format everything
You can reinstall/wipe Windows 10 without needing the key.

Lighto reacted to SnypeUXD in GIGABYTE P35X v3 vs CLEVO P651
Would definitely go with the Gigabyte here. That extra capacity on the battery can go a long way. The Gigabyte just seems to be better overall, in terms of just plain features and specs.

Lighto reacted to Wiplive in WTF is going on with my computer
It's clear that he says he only tried to boot with 300W PSU. He uses SeaSonic 1050W PSU it seems. You new topic campers who don't even read the actual topics should really stop posting.

Lighto reacted to Victorious Secret in Asus' ROG G501 all-aluminum ultra-slim notebook with 960m
Its good that they added red.
I needed that red to let me know its a gaming product. Red is crucial.

Lighto reacted to SkywardKkalox in H100i GTX Pump Noise and Pump Position
Almost every (leaning to every) AIO (All in one) Liquid coolers have the pump on the cpu block itself.

Lighto reacted to DildorTheDecent in H80i question about the fan header
H80i but same sorta thing
SATA power connector is what i have connected to mine. MB fan control is better for me compared to the Corsair Link fan control.
-
Lighto reacted to DildorTheDecent in H80i question about the fan header
The fan header plugged into the H80i is only for pump RPM. It is fine to use it but the BIOS and Windows might freak out cos the CPU_FAN isn't spinning.
-
Lighto reacted to TacticlTwinkie in H80i question about the fan header
on my h100i (same pump/block) I dont have it plugged into a fan header. It runs just fine. I also have the fans running off the motherboard. Never bothered with the corsair link software.

its to make this not a lottry so you cant get taxed. Its a prize for answering a question. Thats why all giveaways have it. -
Lighto reacted to DirkaFat in NCIX Sponsored Giveaway
I think it means they'll have to make sure the winner knows a little something about computers before they can ship the prize to him/her.

Lighto reacted to terrytek in searching for a new HDD
Yes. Now my work here of converting a WD fanboy to buy a Seagate is done.
-
Lighto reacted to terrytek in searching for a new HDD
Well, unlike WD's approach of squeezing an SSD and a HDD on one drive, which is crazy, Seagate has combined the capacity of an HDD and the speed of an SSD, and made it a hybrid drive. You can expect faster access and read times. The SSD-like cache is nothing like a true SSD, about 8-10 gigs, but it's still enough to have faster speeds. The drawback? Price. An SSHD costs about 40 bucks more than a regular HDD, at least, here in America.
-
Lighto reacted to terrytek in searching for a new HDD
I really don't want to say this, but I'm a Seagate fanboy. WD has shorter warranties, too many lineups to confuse you, and have short reliability.
That is my HO

Lighto reacted to terrytek in searching for a new HDD
I say ditch WD forever. Go with a Barracuda or SSHD 3.5" drive.

Lighto reacted to ViruZ_HUN in new system won't boot
You dont need too!
On the mobo there is a screen which is howing numbers when a system fails, The code can be: 68 /56 every number which exist, we need that number to get a solution.
A i5 4670k can support all MHZ ram even a 3100 mhz ram
-
Lighto reacted to UnknownEngineer in new system won't boot
If the ram is not on the list for supported ram then there is no guarantee it will work, you could attempt a BIOS update/flash but i wouldn't recommend it. Just return the ram and get some of the list of supported ram.
EDIT or listen to the guy right above me, the guy who extracted that idea, remotely, from my head.
EDIT 2 He is now below me as well, i am blocked, no escape. I all seriousness Death_Masta187 has the correct idea, i think.
