  1. did you swap the pads on the Vram to 0.5mm and if so did it work better?
  2. is the VRam the pads that are messed up....? i hope not, got some 1mm ones arriving thursday, the other pads are fully intact.
  3. so i was going to replace the thermal paste on my 2080 to see if that would fix a issue i was having, during the process of taking it apart the thermal pads on the vram i believe it is, they ripped, what thickness are they? i ordered some 1mm ones from thermal grizzly
  4. The mircrophone just stopped working 2 days ago after i shut off my pc, it has done this before but all i did to fix that was swap the usb ports around and it worked again. that didnt work this time. heres what ive tried - -Made sure it wasnt muted in windows 10 -Used the troubleshooter to see if that can detect the problems, didnt show anything -Tried another headset didnt work(was a old one though) and that didnt work -Tried the G533 on another computer, didnt work(i think the headset is broke) -uninstalled audio drivers and reinstalled them (used the realtek ones of my mobo's site) is there anything else i can do?
  5. that was a bit sus, guess im just gullible
  6. Im running the game at 1400p, i have sildurs vibrant shaders installed, i get around 60-90 unless im indoors then its 100. The thing is my mate gets 500 fps on a 3600x and a 1660, i have a 8600k at 4.7 ghz and a 2080 at 1950 mhz my render distance in the game is set to 12.
  7. This problem has just started. I have the Logitech G533 wireless, i know its not a battery issue since it happens when i have my headphones plugged in, i havent changed any audio settings at all. Is this a common issue or is it a sign its going to break soon?
  8. i have the speedfan software already installed, just got no idea how to use it
  9. i put a custom fan curve on my gpu now, it still happnes, starting to believe it may be my case fans, how can i set a curve on those?
  10. So my pc is roughly 1 or 2 years old now, every single part was brand new. When I'm playing certain games like Forza Horizon 4 and some other games my fan speed goes up and down, the fan speed shoots up when it hits 80c and then goes back down to a normal rpm after like 5 seconds, my GPU hovers around 78-79 on games with good graphics like FH4. I have an RTX 2080, I have also got 3 intake fans, so enough air is getting to the card. I just want to know if I can stop the rpm fluctuating since it is getting fairly annoying now. sorry if the description is bad, i not good at stuff like this.
  11. it doesnt need a bios update, the last update was 4 years ago, guess its just the weather
  12. i believe it was the weather since it was really hot in my room at that time, i closed my blinds and cooled my room down hasnt occurred since, but ill update my bios if it needs to tomorrow
  13. this may be a dumb question but where do i check for a bios update?
  14. Since its getting hotting my pc will be getting hotter but for some reason my fans rev up then go back down, is there a way i can control them and stop them ramping up, my cpu is at 40c and my gpu is at 70c as it always is
  15. ok i will buy one soon and try to get it to work, thanks!
  16. sorry if this is wrong, but what if i just put the dp to the gpu and the hdmi to the monitor, thats how i got my old monitor working like 2 years ago

  18. Im pretty sure ive plugged in something wrong but i used a DP to HDMI cable i had, hoping it to work yet it doesnt, i just want to know if it needs to be dp to dp or ive plugged it in the wrong way, i have th edp plugged into my monitor and the hdmi into my gpu (rtx 2080)
