  1. i tried the one stick of ram - no help. I don't have any external drives plugged in. I reset the bios 2 times and still the same thing
  2. I keep getting "disc read error" when I turn on my computer. i am having this problem as of last night. I tried disconnecting the hard drive and starting from my ssd but it did not work. I was able to get to in to the bios an hour ago but now when i restart my computer it wont go into the bios even after I press f12, delete, any of them. I unplugged and plugged the sata cables back in to no avail. When the computer starts I get the normal beep but that is it. I was trying o work with the boot order but I cant access that any more in the bios - nor I wasn't sure if i as doing it right. I am still quite new to computers so any help would be appreciated. Thank you !
  3. with the power supply facing up - my wires are on the right hand side of the case - which is what got me thinking this in the first place that the power supply was in wrong. There is also a fan on top of the case that is not pictured.
  4. This is what my rig looks like . I want to do cable management because my friend didn’t do it and I hate the way it looks and want to get better at before I get a new rig . Also with the power supply up I am afraid if a screw falls out of the motherboard it can get ripped in the fans
  5. Thank you all for the responses . Why should this be replaced as soon as possible ?
  6. Hello all . I know This may sound like a newb question but this is my power supply . I am looking to possibly keep this is my new build until It dies - or just make a Low end gaming computer for my kids with it (it has a ton of power). Anyway it was put into my case facing fans up - is this correct ? The way it looks like if I put it in fans down it would be “upside down “ . When I asked the person who made the computer for me - he said “ it is supposed to be face up “ which contradicts a lot of what I have read. here is the power supply https://www.newegg.com/global/sg/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182188 here is the case https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16811119245?Tpk=11-119-245 i have the power supply on the bottom . Should I take It out and turn it around ? The case is on the floor - how do I elevate It if needed ? thanks again !!
  7. have a case already https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119245&Tpk=11-119-245, memory: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136544 ssd memory: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820228143&Tpk=20-228-143 Power supply : https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182188 I recently bought the GE force 1060 3GB video card ( like 2 years ago) Do you think its worth it to keep the case, memory, video card, and the power supply, and swap out every thing else for the build i picked? Will the memory and power supply with this motherboard? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8sRFf7/asus-rog-strix-z370-e-gaming-atx-lga1151-motherboard-strix-z370-e-gaming Sorry for the all the questions add reply edit share check report_problem

  10. Thanks for the words of encouragement . I am def a little freaked out about a cpu cooler - and did I get enough fans ? Does the part list look good enough ?
  11. Hello all: I really want to make my own computer - but I have no experience doing so. I have watched many videos , asked others, but at the the end of the day, my confidence is quite low if I screw it up. The last rig I had my good friend made with me watching and of course it had problems which I had to rely on him to fix. I am married and I can already hear my wife complaining if the computer is "broken" and me having to ask around in the hopes that it can be fixed. These are the parts I want https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KtBsvn Or: Do i just get an Xivax computer - with similar features - for more money - BUT- comes with a lifetime warranty. That way if it ever gets screwed up - I can send it back. Plus I can pay it off with no interest. Its more money obvi https://www.xidax.com/desktops/x-6/?saveconfig=249937 I currently have an AMD cpu rig that is 8 years old . So even if i wanted to save the case ( full tower) and power supply ( 850 watt), I would have to change out the mobo, ram, cpu, and graphics card. Plus I don want to screw that up lol ( Have 512 ssd memory with that and 1 gb memory of hdd. I can link the old parts if people want to see. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all
