Depends on the price of them. If they're normally $30, then yeah, it's worh it. If they're normally $200, then no.

A lot warranties only apply to the original purchase and cannot be transferred. There's a good chance you'll not get the warranty if you're buying it used.

EDIT: There's also just the hygine side of it to consider. I'd personally not buy headphones, or really anything you wear on your head or face, used.

If you're building mostly all corsair internally, then go corsair externally to limit software bloat needed to control multiple sets of RGB.

You already tried the "best" ones, they're all a pain. Its far easier to pre-plan and stick to one vendor OR just get universal A-RGB stuff and use your motherboards software.

Inelastic got a reaction from whm1974 in Replacing Valve Steam Controller?
The Xbox Series X controller does use BT. I don't think the 360 one does, that one requires a dongle. The Series X controller and 360 controller both use AA batteries. Sony and Nintendo use battery packs. The Switch Pro lasts the longest. Supposedly it has a 40 hour life. I think the worst is the DualSense controller.

I don't know anything about Linux compatibility. They might work through Steam? You might even be able to find a third-party app for it. I use my Wii U Pro controller (on Windows) through an app called WiinUSoft.

Inelastic got a reaction from whm1974 in Replacing Valve Steam Controller?
The best controllers are probably the console controllers ; Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch. Personally, I use the Wii U Pro controller because I own one from having a Wii U. I also have a Steam controller from when they had that sale. Most of the time I use the Wii U Pro controller, but I find the Steam controller works great in BOTW for its gyro aiming. If you want gyroscope controls like the Steam controller has, then it's the Switch Pro or PlayStation controller.

I've only used one wireless mouse, Razer Naga Pro. I've had it for over a year now with no issues. It has optical switches so it shouldn't get the double click issue.

It could even be flat and attach on the sides if the table is thick enough, that way you wouldn't have the bracket on top of the desk.  Another option might be some double-sided mounting tape? I'm not sure if that would cause issues with wobbliness if it's too thick. Perhaps even take out the top drawer and use screws to go into both the top of the cabinet and into the table?

Inelastic got a reaction from Killertaker in general question for Wireless mice users
I have a Razer Naga Pro. I don't turn it off or anything, I just leave it and it goes into hibernate after like 5 minutes. I have that accessory to allow me to just plop it onto it to charge. If I keep forgetting to put it on, the cable that goes into that accessory is the same cable that plugs into my mouse, so I can do that for like 20 minutes and get enough charge for the rest of the night.

I've had it for a year with no scrolling or mouse clicking issues. The only issue I have is that sometimes I have to jiggle the mouse on the charger because the contacts aren't contacting properly.

Inelastic reacted to dizmo in Electric Shaver Recommendations?
The Wahl Shaver Shaper might work for you if you only grow hair on those two spots. Or, the One Blade as suggested. You could also just buy a razor. Far, far cheaper if you're worried about money. I have a Braun 8595. It was around $250 - $300 when it was new, but it's lasted me about 15 years. If you're going to buy an electric shaver, I'd strongly suggested investing your money in something expensive that will last. It's something you can have for decades if you treat it right, and you're unlikely to stop growing hair anytime soon. I go for straight foils though, not rotary.

Inelastic reacted to Skiiwee29 in Are Magnetic Screwdrivers safe when building a PC?
Yes, they're fine. I have been using Magnetic screw drivers for as long as I can remember. Heck, the iFixit kits are all magnetic as well. I use one that came with my Cryorig R1 Ultimate cooler as well as some run of the mill cheap ones you can get at your local hardware shop. Just make sure they're long enough to reach some of the areas that can be a pain or short enough to clear tight spots. You will need a combination of Phillips 0, 1 and 2 heads to complete the job on most builds.

Not sure I understand the craze ; Windows 11 isn't necessary for the moment and if you really need Windows 11, wait until it's out, by that time you might get an upgrade that make your computer compatible, and if not, just wait it out and see if it's really worth it or not since Windows 10 is still supported until 2025 !!!

This is similar to the TP or fuel hoarding ... panic buying is dumb.

Inelastic reacted to minibois in Is microcenter scamming us?
The price increases are near universal among graphics cards and retailers. The simple idea behind supply and demand just made it so the prices had to have been increased.
The MSRP AMD Radeon or Nvidia puts on a graphics card are irrelevant, when the market is in a state it is.

I wouldn't say you were scammed, as I would assume the price was shown on the shelves and the screen when using your card, plus the price can likely be seen on their website (and all other retailers their websites), but I understand why this feels shitty.
If you are not happy with the price you paid and can return the card, do that.

I don't expect the market to normalize any time soon though.

Both use the same, equally useless sensors. It doesn't matter if they're the best you've got, what matters is that they're useless. If you want more random numbers that are completely irrelevant, I suggest getting them from random.org.
