  1. Hey there, I'm having a really weird issue that involves my PC not shutting down. I've given it some time to see if it was finishing updates, but after an hour+ of waiting for it to shut down I decided to pull the plug. However, when I pull the plug and try to start the PC again it doesn't boot. I've never had this sort of problem before and I was wondering if anyone had some helpful troubleshooting tips. So far I've tried: Reinstalling Windows Checking my Boot Order Checking the DSIM (DISM.EXE /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth) Running/Verifying my Windows with SFC /scannow
  2. What CPU are you running? Also whats your budget?
  3. I'd like at least 10-12 hours of battery life. Just something to get me through a school/work display. I don't really care about upgradable RAM, but I'd like a nice screen that I wouldn't have to calibrate too much
  4. Yeah I think I'd be fine with going used.
  5. I'd suggest going up to an i7-8700k, or 9700k. Your Z390 board should be able to handle either. But pairing your i5 with the 2080 ti would mean your 2080 ti wouldn't be able to push out it's full potential.
  6. Hello LTT forum goers, (My price range is from $700-$800 USD) I've been browsing around Newegg and Amazon for about 2 months looking for a 13 inch laptop. However I can't seem to find anything decent, so I thought I'd come here and see if I could get some good suggestions. I don't need it for much, possibly light gaming if needed, but it is mainly for taking on trips and bringing to school for projects (because I can't stand the chromebooks that are sometimes given to us). Anything helps, thanks
  7. So with my recent purchases from Black Friday I was able to build up a decently new rig. I have just finished with the build and go to set up windows and my monitor isn’t detecting any signal. The motherboard is an MSI z370 SLI Plus running an i5-9600k. The “Ez LED Troubleshooting” tool referenced on the motherboard and in the manual have not helped a bit. The LEDs will light up corresponding to the problem (if there is one). I’ll post the picture of the manuel and board too see what I’m exactly talking about. I’ve tried other monitors and they don’t work, and I’ve even tried different HDMI ports on my (new) graphics card and on the motherboard. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  8. I’m getting the same error even after resetting the CMOS checking BIOS which was fine
  9. I have a Gigabyte GA-LMT-S2 or something around those lines. No clue if it’s too weak
  10. So I recently just upgraded from an AMD FX-4300 to an FX-8350. Seeing and doing research I saw that the two were the same socket and should be compatible. Agreeing running a game however everything seemed off and out of sync. So I rebooted the system and check the bios and it told me the CPU wasnt compatible... I’m stuck on this and the system is automatically under clocking it so it doesn’t over run. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
