I like chrome too, but all the built-in security works better in Brave.

    "
The problem with some browser security features is that they can interfere with a website to such a degree that you can't access the content you came to the site for. For security-minded users, that means we may have to go through an often obnoxious process of disabling each of our security plugins or on-board features, one at a time, until we figure out which one is causing the hiccup.
The best part of Brave's privacy suite is that it eliminates this game of broken website whack-a-mole, and makes it faster and less annoying to have a secure browsing experience. A single click on the Brave icon on your address bar allows you to see a small menu with simplified toggles that underlie the extensive, customizable security panel in the browser's settings pages.  "

meun5 reacted to BuckGup in Google Sign Builder Future
I have been working with an education Co-op that handles all the digital signs in the schools and airports across my state. They currently use Rise Vision which works perfectly fine and allows for some advanced features on some signs. But for most they are simply running a google slide show. So they are wanting to swap over to Chrome Sign Builder as it is free and it easier to learn. The only thing that worries me is Rise Vision has been around since 1992 doing digital signs and the reviews for chrome sign builder point to the typical Google style of product support. They talk about large bugs that aren't getting fixed with update times only increasing in length. With Google dropping support for Cloud Print I don't have a lot of faith they will continue to support it. What do you guys think?

meun5 reacted to wojoxx98 in Where is the Best Place to Buy a Cheap Windows 10 Key?
I'm building my mom a new computer for Christmas, and have spent less than $350 total for everything but Windows 10. A friend tried to get me a free Windows 10 key through her college, but three weeks after submitting her request for it, she has yet to hear anything back. So now that all the parts will be arriving tomorrow, I need to purchase a Windows 10 key ASAP, but I absolutely do not want to pay the $130-$140 that Microsoft is asking, especially because of how cheap the computer is.

When I search "Windows 10 Key" on Google, the first few sellers are places like G2A with prices around $17, and PC Market Online for about $25. Are these keys actually legit, and are they safe to use?

Are there other sites that sell keys that any of you would recommend more? Or should I just suck it up and buy a full price key from Microsoft?

Thanks for any and all advice!

They both have AMD dual core processors. One is 1 GHz and one is 1.3 GHz. One has 4 GB ram and one has 2 GB ddr3. They all have enough space for any linux operating system. I was thinking Ubuntu but I think that it is too much for the processors because my processors are very slow

raid 1 would work if a singular drive fails, but wont help if you get malware that destroy your drives

Before creating the USB Media, make more than one partition out of the USB Stick. Allow one for the games, and one for the Windows 10 Bootable

Recently run a cat 6 cable (60m) from modem to a switch, from the switch ive run a 10m cable, all with fj45 connectors. It connected for an hour then disconnected and is no longer being detected, tested with cable tester and the cables are in full working order but i have no connection. All the colours are matching, even had a technician check it all out and he doesnt know what the issue is. tested out switch and its not faulty he said possibly shorten the cable down ( 2m slack each end) to see if that helps. Unsure as to a method to fix! Lastly  on the modem side the port is no longer lit and all the ports are functional as ive tested them all!

meun5 got a reaction from suom1_embark in How to skip certain router hops?
Unfortunately no, end users are generally unable to influence the route their traffic takes to the destination. Routes are usually determined by what networks your ISP is peering with and what routes those peer networks announce. However some routes will change all the time as load changes along the different paths and routers redirect traffic to different peers.

Things you can do that can influence the route are, 1) change the destination. If there are other servers that provide the service, perhaps the route to them will be less congested. 2) Change the source. This is harder to do you do not have multiple ISPs available. 3) Use a proxy or middleman service to proxy the traffic for you. Depending on what you are trying to do, a VPN may be of use.

meun5 got a reaction from Mikensan in iDRAC 6, Windows 10 and modern Java... "Connection failed"
The issue appears to stem from the fact that Java 8u60 (according to https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/8all-relnotes-2226344.html#R180_60) disables the RC4 tls cipher algorithm, which is used by iDRAC 6. In addition to adding the site to the Security Exclusion list as per above, we had to modify the java.security file and remove RC4 from the list of disabled algorithms. The security file can be found in $JAVA_HOME/lib/security (For Unix Based OSes) or %JAVA_HOME%\lib\security for Windows. The line is jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms=... and we just copied the line then removed RC4.

This should allow the Java App to connect to the Remote Console.
