  1. Hey guys, I have this issue where I cannot start Heaven/Valley benchmark software. When I try to open it CMD screen shows for a fraction of a second and then it disappears. What can I do about this? I've tried installing Vcredist already but it didn't fix the problem.
  2. Thank you for the answer. It is good to hear that my hardware is all good that I don't have any issues with it. One more question, since my CPU is bottleneck because of the RAM, would my frametimes improve if I get faster RAM in dual channel configuration? What really sucks about everything here is that my Xbox X that is literally half the price of the PC runs games smoother because of this.
  3. Switch you keyboard and mouse to USB 2.0
  4. It's not RAM because in Furmark I have issues as well, but Furmark only uses like 100MB of RAM if that..
  5. @Slottr sadly, yeah @Srijan Verma bought it couple of months ago and didn’t have much time for gaming. I knew I had that issue. First time I saw it in Fortnite but then I’ve read that new patch was causing stutter for people so didn’t pay much attention until now.
  6. This issue occurred day one. In games it doesn't matter what resolution or graphical settings I use, there is always stuttering Spec: Motherboard: Gygabite Aorus B450 Elite CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Asus Dual OC RAM: 8GB 2400MHz BallistiX PSU: 550W Elite V3 Cooler Master What I've tried so far: Rollback to 397.93 drivers Increasing GPU power limit Disable Game bar I've attached 4 files in here. GPU-Z Sensor Log while running Furmark. Both normal and increased power limit while running Furmark and increased power limit while in game ( PUBG ). Frametimes can be literally insane causing a really big stutter as you can tell. GPU-Z Sensor Log.txt Increased power limit ingame.hml Increased Power limit.hml Normal power limit.hml
  7. I think it is connected with Power %. Every time Power % in MSI Afterburner drops I get stutter.
  8. M.2 has hackintosh on it so it doesn't mean anything to me. My mobo has 2 M.2 slots and when I plug in SSD into one it will disable 2 SATA outputs but I have that sorted out EDIT: @Majestic I've followed your topic to monitor with MSI afterburner. Edited the first post. Can you take a look at it? Is my PSU an issue here? Is he causing the stutters because I can see the GPU usage drops when Power % drops. My PSU is Cooler Master Elite V3 550W EDIT 2: Increasing the power limit in MSI Afterburner to 112 (max) helped a bit, but still far from resolved.
  9. Okay, after closer inspection of task manager..I've found out what is happening when the game stutters. GPU usage is always 98-99% but it dips down to 85-88% when the game stutters. Take a look at attachment to see how it looks like. EDIT: Windows 10 Game Bar is disabled. Nvidia Settings is all set for maximum performance. PhysX Processor is set on GPU
  10. No, CPU is not thermal throttling. The temps are fine. I thought so myself too, but it happens literally instantly after joining a PUBG game for example. So there are no throttling issues. EDIT: It does not pass 75C while gaming. Usage is low aswell. 35% total usage, 2-3 cores go up to 80ish%
  11. @Pixel5 I am actually using an adapter since I have this oldish monitor that does not have anything but VGA, so I'm converting signal from HDMI to VGA. I connected it to 720p TV via HDMI and I still had stuttering issues even if it is clean connection without adapters. I will try reinstalling audio drivers, but I'm afraid that I'll need to buy new RAM...and it is expansive -.-. Living as a college student with 200e a month is not that ideal.. I barely have for food and apt
  12. I've had this issue since day one. I own this PC for about 3-4 months and now it starts to drive me insane since I can't just sit back and relax in gaming. No matter the game and settings I always have stuttering issues. When I built this PC I didn't buy SSD but used a 7200RPM HDD. Had stuttering issues and I was like, okay it is because of the slow HDD. Fast forward 2 weeks I buy SSD and clean install my PC, all the drivers are up to date..and I still had stuttering issues although a bit less. My GPU has a slight coil whine so whenever it stutters the sound of coil whine disappears for a fraction of a second and then continues...probably because GPU is not outputting anything on the screen during that time. As I said, no matter the game nor settings ( PUBG, Fornite, Forza Horizon 3, Forza Motorsport 7 ) it always has this issues. Some games more ( Fortnite, PUBG ), some less ( GTA V ). Please don't flame me for my really poor choice of hardware, you'll see what I'm talking about. Spec: Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 + Stock cooler GPU: GTX 1070 Asus Dual OC RAM: 8GB 2400MHz BallistiX Single channel SSD: 1x M.2 WD 120GB 1x Kingston 240GB I think it is because of the RAM. Ryzen is not all for single channel, let alone 2400MHz. I seriously don't know why I did that purchase, but now I have to live with that. Is there anything else that can be an issue that I can try and solve before I go out and spent some money on RAM because money is a huge issue. I'm a poor college student that saved a lot to get this PC and I screw it up with a stupid thing like this. I've been looking at some youtube vides with slow RAM even 2133MHz in single channel only had lower FPS but no stuttering issues so it might not be because of my RAM. I don't care much about FPS because I'm only playing at 1080p monitor, but the stuttering is killing me. All of my drivers are up to date. I've even tried to rollback nvidia drivers and give them a shot but same thing happens. When I did heaven bench my GPU performance was always lower than any other score I've seen online. I don't really remember the numbers, but If they scored about 2400 I did 2200. GPU-Z Furmar + GPU-Z Sensors HardwareMonitoring.hml
  13. I have this issue with my boot menu, where I have 3 literally empty boot options. How can I delete them?
  14. Nothing is shown. Drivers are up to date. Everythis is fine but this. I've lowered resolution on main display to check if that was an issue, but no..nothing is working currently but 720p TV
  15. As I said, I've checked it on my PC worked just fine. The main reason why we want it to work is that we are using projector to watch movies, but it only has VGA support and we are using this really old laptop that can't even output video without struggle..
  16. My girlfriend is using HP Pavillion x360 and can't use external monitor. I don't know why. It's an LG monitor not even fullHD, with VGA only. Her laptop only has HDMI out so I've used HDMI to VGA converter and laptop does not display any signal at all at 2nd monitor. I've checked that adapter on my PC with that monitor and it is working fine, but her laptop is not. Then I've tried using TV as "2nd monitor" on her laptop via cable and it is working just fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
  17. Is it possible to share 1 HDD between Windows 10 and Linux? I have 1 SSD for Windows 10, M.2 SSD for Linux is coming next week, and I have a HDD that I use to store files on. Since Linux M.2 is going to be only 120GB. Is it possible to share this HDD with Linux and Windows so I can view all the files (pictures, movies etc) from both OS?
  18. I have an issue. Well rather a question. is it possible to merge 2 drives into one without data loss. I'm getting an SSD today, and I have C and D partitions. C contains windows which I will format, and D contains some games. Can i merge C and D into one without loosing all the data from D and use SSD as boot disk, or I will need to format both of them and then merge them into one drive?
  19. GTA V does not have stutters at all. Everything runs perfectly fine. I will try more games tomorrow and see what will happen. My GF also said that sims 4 was working just fine.
  20. Yes. I didn't know in which slot to put it in. Couldn't find it anywhere online . I've put it in DDR4_1. There are 4 slots and this one is all the way to the right which does not feel right tho. Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite MB
  21. I've built my first PC yesterday and I'm having some issues with it. Ryzen 5 2600 and GTX 1070. My issue is that I'm getting a lot of stutters in game. Fortnite Stutters a lot. FPS drop insanely low and then comes back up like nothing happened. I can hear slight coil whine and when it stutters for half a sec i can hear it stop then continue. The thing is, in Furmark stress test that does not happen. No stutters no nothing. Things i tried: Fresh windows 10 install with latest drivers Set windows in performance mode. Nvidia power managment mode: max performance Maximum pre rendered frames: 1 Nothing worked. NOTE: I do not have SSD at all. It will arrive next week. I doubt this is cause for stutter because when hdd loads the game, CPU and GPU are doing everything. I can feel that pc is being bottlenecked with HDD, it is too damn slow. Right click sometimes takes couple of seconds. Opening applications is slow aswell. I honestly cannot feel the upgrade from G3250 to Ryzen 5 2600
  22. Are anti viruses still a thing in 2018? I haven't been using one for like 10 years
  23. So my question is. Should i got like this. Or change 1600x to 2600 with stock cooler. 1600X is 40$ cheaper than 2600, adding a AiO will get me 10-15$ more expansive than 2600. And I'm not planning to upgrade stock cooler to AiO if i get 2600
