circeseye reacted to InvicTech in Lip-sync not working with LG QNED TV (2021) and Yamaha RX-V6A
    Final Update
Alright, I was able to get a refund and got myself a Sony Bravia XR-65A80L. While I can still not set the Lip-Sync to Auto in the OSD of my Yamaha Receiver, using eARC actually works with the Sony as intended.
The Sony TV correctly let's me passthrough Dolby Atmos, DTS:X etc. over eARC and applies the correct amount of Delay needed. This is good enough as I can use all the audio codecs I could ever want and don't have to fiddle around with sync issues.

Also, apparently for some odd reason Sony decided to only allow certain Audio formats to work with the built-in apps. This is why I will still be using my Shield TV even though the Sony has Android TV built-in.

Also, also, "Match-Framerate" on the Shield TV doesn't break Sync in this setup. So now, I can enjoy my content with the correct framerate 😄

    Update Time
I have nothing new to tell about the technical issue itself. However, LG, Yamaha and the Vendor have gotten around to calling me back and the situation is as follows:
I asked LG whether that TV even supports automatic Lip-Sync over HDMI like the avr needs it to work. Not only did they not even manage to answer that question, but they straight up just hung up on me after I tried explaining that me getting a soundbar to test with is not the setup I have at home and also won't give me the information about the Lip-Sync compatibility I'm looking for. So LG gets an A+ for shit customer support. Great. Still don't know whether the bloody TV actualy supports the standard or not...
Yamaha was more helpfull, as they went through my setup(s) I've already tried and determined that the issue is related to the TV in all likelihood. They did give me another, local company's phone number to contact, to diagnose the issue further. While suboptimal, at least they didn't hang up on me and reinforced what I had already suspected, the TV seems to be lacking that functionality.
The Vendor understanding of my situation offered me to take my receiver to their showroom floor and hook it up to the TVs on display to maybe find one that suits my setup needs. They also seem to be willing to get a refund for the LG started. I mean, it's great that they are willing to let me try different TVs and give me the option of a refund. But I fear this will also end up costing me a pretty penny if it should turn out that only the top models actually, properly support the automatic Lip-Sync needed for proper Home Theater setups. So, all in all, I'm defeated. I'll do at least another update here with the end of the saga, but it's not looking too good at the moment. Also, I am investing way more time than I had bargained for at the start of all of this. Wish me luck

    Happy New Year, everyone

Here is the conclusion, The so called "certified Ultra High Speed" 5m cable, didn't work, it was however more stable than the "un-certified" one, as in, it didn't outright kill my PC, but I couldn't get a signal for longer than 2 or so minutes, every 2 minutes the TV went dark for a few secounds.

refund that one, and just buy like a dozen 1-2 m cables (one of them must work, right?), also bought a RX6600 card, and put it into an old PC. like I said I will do, than connect everything.
I managed to find only one "certified" 1.5m cable, the rest have no certificate or anything, so that one was the first I try, and it works, have been watching some movies, even put the TV into game mode, I haven't played any games though, I just wanted to put the cable under as much load as possible, and making it carry a 4k HDR 4:4:4 10-bit 144Hz signal, even on desktop, and there were no interruptions, or cuts for an hour of use, I think that is now stable, let's hope it remains that way.
I will return the other cables, since I don't need them.

Now I have a separete PC for that task alone, why didn't I do this sooner, and I had an old PC just sitting there for years?, it makes things so much simpler now, rather than having things run on my main PC in another room.

Anyway, thanks a lot for help, I was thinking that something is wrong with my TV, considering everything I tried.
Still a certified HDMI cable didn't work, than how did it get the certification in the first place....

one more thing, it seems that I will have to watch my movies in up to 29 FPS, if I set my refresh rate on PC to 30 or higher the TV just ignores FMM and movie mode, in fact they are replaced with some other crap, like optimized or something (just checked: the two modes are entertain and graphics), I don't know...

well, movies are 24 anyway, that won't be a problem.

Light splashing on the wall from behind the TV can help lower the perceived black levels a bit. Try it with a table lamp or something first, to see if you like the effect.

Looks like it either de-laminated or you use some cleaning product with alcohol that melted the screen. Not much to do about it except use as is.

circeseye got a reaction from FHK in Speaker recomendation for a 5.1 home theater.
when it comes to surround speakers, your left, right and center are the most important and most used. then the sub. your surrounds or rears or atmos are more ambiance
there are a lot ways you can go.
and yes there is a difference between cheap speakers and good speakers
    but.....also avr is important
all honesty start small...get a good avr. yamaha or denon will keep you at a decent price point and they have pretty good avr's
then grab you some good bookshelf or towers. (some have atmos throw speakers on them)
    then a good center
    then a sub
once you have this set up you can look for and decide what surrounds you want

the avr is solid but reading peoples reviews the speakers are "ok" but are good enough for now till replacing with good decent speakers
it looks like the avr is a RX-V4A. similar specs. and that is around 600 to 700 eu pricing so

sounds like your routers are conflicting. they shouldnt have the same ip make the secondary one 1 number different will fix it, and also make sure each routers wifi channels are different if one is channel 15 make the other like channel 6 as an example they should be at least 5 channels separate. do this for both the 2.4 and 5ghz. 2 routers running wifi channels to close together can cause drops

circeseye reacted to Birblover12 in Should I return it? Q70C Samsung TV Dead Pixels Splotchy Blacks
I'd return/exchange it, no reason not to. Presumably, they'd just give you another brand new TV free of charge if you exchange it, which I don't see any reason why it too would have issues as well.

Worst case scenario, you could take the full refund and buy a different TV if you find the replacement to have the same (or different) issue.

circeseye reacted to Falcon1986 in Internet dies for ~30 seconds several times a day
This is not good practice. You're asking for network conflicts. I think this is your major problem.

    It's more than that.

Firstly, the router directly connected to the modem or gateway should be designated the primary. The additional router should have it's DHCP server disabled so that the primary is the only functional router. The easiest way to do this is to convert the additional router to AP mode. You don't need to mess with IPs if you choose this route.

Secondly, the channel separation depends on the channel width being used. No one should ever use beyond 20MHz on 2.4GHz unless if you're living in a very rural area where there's absolutely no other 2.4GHz being broadcast. Channels 1, 6 and 11 are non-overlapping on 2.4GHz only if you have 20MHz channel widths.

As for channel 15, I've never heard of it on standard WiFi. Maybe on proprietary wireless, like ZigBee. Only Japan is authorized to use up to channel 14 on standard WiFi, I believe.

The 5GHz band has more wiggle room, but it doesn't mean that you can choose whichever channel you want. Channel widths of 80 to 160MHz will overlap more easily with other wireless broadcasts. Always run a wireless survey to assess the spectrum you're interested in before assigning your broadcast channel. And while running fat channel widths opens up for more bandwidth, range decreases and you probably don't need WLAN speeds of 1.2Gbps if you have sub-gigabit WAN speeds anyway.

on steam it really depends on the game...some download and install fast, some download slow update fast, but the most annoying is the small or fast download and the take forever to install. ive had like 30mb update take almost a damn hour to install it. dead by daylight was good for that, but theres others now also
other game browsers ive used are pretty consistent downloading and updating

wait....you have a x3700h. why are you not running your comp to the avr then the tv? it supports 4k 120hz. set the avr ( hdmi set up) as 8k and bypass, then )4k/8k signal format) as 8k signal enhanced so avr doesnt do any render stuff and youll have up to atmos sound
    and your all set
