  1. i had a old 50" plasma. couldnt sell it. so took it to recycler for 10 cent a pound.
  2. it sounds like you got dust in the mirror area. cleaning it is tedious
  3. if it was me i would. lol....even sdr (on computer) this screen looks good. but turn that interpolation off immediately lol (or leave it on and see what the fuss is about lol)
  4. yea the samsung in ways is better especially not having the local dimming. it has the same apps and even more then the tcl. as for the interpolation you can turn it off but samsungs way of doing hdr its still there to a degree...so at first its kind of annoying till you get used to it
  5. vizio is lower end quality to me. samsung has more app access and a app store. tcl apps are limited but supports chromecast tcl does not have a motion interpolation where samsung does which causes the "soap opera effect" tcl has worse upscaling from 480p. 720 a bit better, 1080 is fine color between the 2 are about the same samsung has better hdr brightness over the tcl and tcl has bad local dimming the samsung doesnt have it which is nice when watching in a dark room
  6. picture wise the samsung looks good. (i use mine with my computer) but me personally wont touch a vizio. the tcl maybe but would get a hisence over a tcl
  7. i will say this ...samsung 6000 and 7000 series tvs hdr suffer from soap opera effect. it can be mitigated some but is always there

    Dolby Atmos

tv needs hdmi arc (which reading is picky on these bars especially if more then tv is plugged in) and its the content that has the support. as long as the bar gets the audio signal from the movie or what ever it will play that format
  9. ive only used defender and malware bytes for years and have had no issues
  10. considering ive never shut my pc off (except for hardware upgrades) over the last 7+ years id say no (full on. i dont use sleep or hibernate). just an occasional restart now and then usually for software updates.
  11. hmmm...not sure if you have access to them but apps like hulu have live tv with subscription
  12. yea i was asked about this deal..damn good 3800x 419...msi mpg x570 pro carbon 239.99...samsung 970 evo plus 500gig 99.99 newegg 758.98 separate savings of 243.99
  13. not that ive seen but have pretty damn good response times depending on tv 4ms to 10ms so dont need game mode you can go here to check whats what on the tv's your looking at https://www.sceptre.com/product_landing_v3.php?category_id=42&page=1&selector5=&set=session
