    speaker problem

as for the power button or volume button....power button with crackle as you turn it on or off...the volume will crackle as you turn it up or down. to test jacks just lightly move where the jacks are plugged into, if they produce the static the jack is bad the plug and wires. where the wire goes into the plug can go bad move it around to see if you can produce static...the wires one could have been pinched along it.. best to just try another cable to see

Is it worth getting RX 570 over 470?

they are pretty much the same card..just 500 series is slightly faster....if anything id look for one with 8 gig memory

    speaker problem

not sure what ones you have but...after a while the power button and volume buttons on powered speakers get dirty....that can cause static sounds.....a little bit of work to clean thou..you have to take the speaker apart to get to the switches and use a electrical cleaner other thing can be is a bad cable or connector

    Silent or no Pc

logitech's g910 is a quiet mechanical orion spark or orion spectrum (difference is the wrist wrest) it still has a click but a lot quieter then a cherry switch there are other logitechs with the same mechanical switches also that are a little cheaper
  6. that mobo has hdmi, tos. and enough 3.5 for it...but.....receiver has to support the connections tos can only do compressed 5.1 dolby and dts..the basic ones hdmi supports all dolby's and dts's and uncompressed the 3.5 jacks support up to 5.1 but only if receiver supports the connection hdmi to a receiver is the way to go because its uncompressed and it sends all dolby/dts formats as long as what your watching/playing has it. the sound quality/channel separation of the better dolby's/dts's are so much better
  7. hdmi is best...then you get all dolby and dts the receiver supports plus that receiver has hdmi out also so go to the receiver then to your monitor/tv do NOT connect with the green 3.5mm jack (facepalm) its only stereo besides that reciever does not support 3.5mm jacks and you mobo doesnt support tos

when you first fired it up did it go through and choose what renderer to use?. because it did for me and used the d3d one. it loaded but my tv hated the res so had to go into the ini and change it. and then it played just fine
  11. drivers maybe? but yea you should be getting better then that even with settings on high....specs are fine

    Old Games New Problems :/

ok i just fired up ut 99 goty and to get it to load i needed to change the resolution in the ini.... then go into the game folder there and open up the file UnrealTournament.ini in a note or word pad. scroll down to WindowedViewportX=1920 WindowedViewportY=1080 and FullscreenViewportX=1920 FullscreenViewportY=1080 you have to manually set your resolution

    Old Games New Problems :/

you need to run it in compatibility mode....goto the game folder right click the ut99 exe then properties, click the compatibility tab then check "run this program in compatibility mode for" and select 98 or xp or win 7....the game runs slower then newer systems
