  1. CPUBoss too! omg... Relics to be gobbled up by the Wayback Machine.....
  2. Anyone know of any other websites like CPU-World.com? The site seems dead, last updates in 2017 but all the latest chips are there Threadripper and Ryzen, so the site is some what alive. Anyone in the community have any information or any other CPU based websites?
  3. Hold on a seconded; i thought the smaller the chip the harder it is too produce. I thought were heading in this direction 22nm, 14nm, 10nm, 7nm and boom Singularity time, General A.I.
  4. How is 10nm better then 32 cores and 64 threads? (??) Saving on my power bill isn't going get me to buy a Power Efficient chip unless I run a Data Center. I know the chips are smaller; better performing. 10nm 32 cores; that would be interesting.
  5. Moore's Law came to and End with the release of AMD's 2990WX and EPYC Processors;
  6. I don't know this history of Intel or AMD, basic knowledge of manufacturing process but what baffles me is what was Intel doing all this time? All the tons and tons of cash they made! Where did it all go? Why wasn't it spent on R&D? How did AMD come out of left field and takeover the Desktop market. Intel holds a large stake when it comes to the Server/IT space. It's processors are reliable. What is happening now will effect Intel for a long time; they need to release 16,32 core variants at a competitive price to rival AMD, inmeditaly. This is very similar this what is going on in the digital photography market; Sony-first, then Nikon and last Canon all moved to mirrorless cameras. The IT market is large but if Intel keeps this up it will go the way of IBM, thus becoming viable only in the commercial market.
  7. Had to bring the CPU OC from 23x197 too 22x200, from 4.5 to 4.4, seems more stable and my temps don't go above 80, which was the main problem, the high voltage 1.4 for the 4.5 OC had my temps hitting 83 which would cause my PC to BSOD or restart. Now I'm able to complete a work unit even an OC GPU settings.

  9. Personally I think this is that most advanced Artifical Intellgience chip on the planet, more powerful then Nvidia chips. Just wanted to share the Google Keynote from 2018 with everyone; if you havent seen it check it out; it's packed with just amazing technology. Google will most likely be the first company to create General A.I. Off course they wouldn't be able to tell us; no one knows what that would do to the Global Stock Market. If you interested in an A.I an amazing book about the topic is named; Life 3.0 by Max Tegmark. Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) 3.0: Google’s answer to cloud-ready Artificial Intelligence
  10. I had the GPU settings set to default it still BSOD'd. Did not know hardware could be "gaming stable" but not "compute stable", I thought stable was stable. I'm new too overclocking so good to know.
  11. I set my GPU settings to default and attempted to complete the work unit. Within 30 minutes, BSOD. I'm going to run a mem86test. Other then this my Xeon @4.5 has been stable @1.3qpi and 1.4v

  13. Just a suggestion to board members but I've recently started running folding, I have a OC, CPU, GPU and RAM timeings, my PC has passed most stress tests, AIDA, Intel, Prime and others BUT ironically folding is crashing my system. So something is off. So just wanted to pass this along, Folding@Home does put your CPU and GPU under heavy load. ( You can change how many cores and threads in settings) An alternative stress test tool to add to the tool box. If you can complete one work unit you should consider your OC stable ?
