  7. hmm ditching the i9 is not out of the question I really dont like what Intel is doing with it ..but this comp is going have to last which is why i wanted to future proof it as much as possible ...but a 1080ti or even a rtx 2070 is super tempting

I got time still till xmass... maybe prices may drop and I am always up to use used stuff as well if I see it out there ..any way if there is some glaring error or anyone has a suggestion I need the help so thank you ahead of time for even reading this
  9. sounds like a cool build! I too am upgrading from a laptop my dell m4800. I got to ask what kind of graphics card are you looking at ? I am thinking about a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP edition .As for cooling I am going for a closed loop water cooler since I really dont know much about that stuff either and from what I am told its a lot easier then a custom loop so maybe look up closed loop water cooling for i9 ? Anyway look forward to see what you build and any real advice people who know what there doing give you .Good luck !!!
  10. So all you guys telling me to wait I think are right but ....I talked to my bro and we came up with this list of parts to keep my eye on..tell me what you all think (bear with me its hard to read his hand writing so some of the things might be off) case:his old one Mobo: asrock 2390 pro 4 Cpu: i7 9700k Ram: 2x 16gb Video card: gtx1080 Power supply : 650/750 gold Storage : ssd of some sort Cooling: some sort of closed loop liquid cooling system I will update this list later when I talk to him but its late right now and time for bed.Any way thanks for all the help so far!
  11. yikes..... Friends and family are what make the hardships of life worth bearing ..besides I am not a gen z lol I was born in 89 so I do believe that makes me a millennial or so google says...err come to think of it that might be just as bad but such is my lot in life LOL
  12. I rather not have a computer then use the heretical junk apple sells that be a smart thing to do but i rather be able to play new games with freinds This is also a smart idea I am not sure what will be out by then ..but parts like a power supply cooling stuff like that I dont think will change that much by then so I am hoping any ideas now will allow me to start looking and maybe price it out better like with out a doubt the two biggest things will be gpu and cpu while I love to have a duel 2080ti and a i9 ..i get the feeling i will be getting something along the lines of a i7 and maybe a 1080 ti although .....yea ..price idk
  13. So I find out I will be getting 1500$ US for xmass . My M4800 dell laptop is getting old and cant game very well .So I ask you guys who know far more then me about tech what would you get? I would love to run fallout 76 with my friends with out issue along with maybe cyber punk 2077 and some others. Besides that I mainly use my comp as my TV. So yea what do you guys think? I am not scared of putting of a comp together and I will have help with it as well ...also i wont be building this till xmass so if you guys know of any awesome stuff that will be out and available by then that be cool to it does not have to be just stuff out right now. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this and for any help (edit) I plan on hooking it up to my TV right now it says the resolution is (4096x 2160) as a monitor ,I don't need a keyboard or nothing like that I already got one and its going be running windows 10
