  1. there is absolutely no benefit downclocking in that case, or for your needs i presume afterall. It will not bring your cpu usage down, besides gpu would still stay at 50% just wont be as efficient as it would before the downclock. don't do it, no benefits, just slightly lower fps if noticable. what would help is to overclock the cpu, since its not a k series chip you could only do bclk overclocking which you should research first
  2. there isn't much to upgrade there tbh, nice ram for cpu, nice cpu, nice gpu, there is actually no point in upgrading anything. just get an ssd
  3. you wont help anything by downclocking your gpu, as it does by itself when its not as much in use. all i'd advise you to do is reduce the fan if you're looking for some silence, 80 degrees should be fine
  4. i'm used to 4k rpm of my old fan so this is quiet for me xd
  5. cooler was a bargain anyway, gd900 is a chinese paste the grade of mx5 for 1 buck lol, check techyescity comparison on thermal pastes, rpm is max at 2500, i'll see what else i can do
  6. 4.6 ghz running botw all 8 threads 100% using gd900 as thermal paste and tx3, however my tx3 cooler just seems as the pipes are clogged in a way? i've seen on internet better results with it
  7. i'm running my i7 3770k under load 85-90 degrees for around a month now, if i countinue long term, will it give up on me? shall i bring to at least 80 - 85?
  8. Go to overclock.net and ask your questions, those guys know better than me
  9. if you are willing to take the risk, flashing the bios might fix the bug https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?did=1002-67DF-1682-9587-E1 do this at your own risk, i strongly recommend staying away from this because you could brick the card, even though it might fix it.
  10. contact the manufacturer, they'll provide best help. all i can think of rn is to update the bios of the gpu, but thats really last resort, dont do that
  11. that stuff happens with counterfeit gpus, actually to my old counterfeit gtx 750 ti, has this ever happened before? if it used to be fine, its something else
  12. coincidentally i found CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 without the R at the end (probably just stands for red), same timings frequency, corsair just not the same revision (2.xx) while mine being (7.xx) I'll buy it, it surely cant, or it shouldn't run cl11, if anything i can try manual tuning it to cl8 in the bios. Well xmp isn't necessary its just me being lazy to manual tune it, i'm sure i can reach xmp properties in manual tuning of the timings right?
  13. yes and you did not answer my question My question was whether i can run XMP WITHOUT adding the same CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R kit, like could i add some ram that has same properties as CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R (1600mhz 8-8-8-24) maybe some kingston or crucial or ballistix that is 1600mhz 8-8-8-24 and still be able to run xmp? Can i run XMP with different brands but same properties? i guess you can put it like that Example: If i was to have Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R (1600mhz 8-8-8-24) 8GB (2x4) and crucial ballistix BLT4G3D1608DT1TX0 (1600mhz 8-8-8-24) 8GB (2x4) Would I be able to run XMP? Without xmp my ram runs at 1333mhz cl11, but i can only force the frequency up to 1600 but cas latency stays same cl11 without xmp My goal is to run xmp without buying the same modules of ram that already support xmp (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R), instead buying something like BLT4G3D1608DT1TX0
  14. Right now, in my rig I got 1 pair of corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R (on xmp 1600mhz cl8) 4GB and 1 pair of samsung M378B5173QH0-CK0 (base 1600mhz cl11) 4GB (total 16GB) With the samsung ram in the system, i cannot run xmp so i am stuck at cl11, but i can force my ram to run 1600 since corsair can run 1600 beside xmp. For me to be able to run xmp, i'd have to switch out the samsung ram, but my question is, do i need to use the same exact ram modules as corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R which is 1600mhz 8-8-8-24 OR could I get any type of ram (like kingston hyperx, crucial, etc.) that supports 1600mhz 8-8-8-24 and I could still run xmp just fine? I do not want to switch my entire ram config for a new 16gb kit one, not one of my options. Any help appreciated. I'd get the CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R however I cant find it anywhere, i found one kit ages ago so i bought it, but getting another one is so hard, looked up my local shopping sites, ebay, chinese sites etc etc.
